10/10/03 Met with Dr. Cole. Felt he was wonderful. Very explicit. He made sure I understood everything he was explaining. I really am glad I chose him.
The office staff was helpful.
I was upset that my intake was 6 weeks following consult.
He expects SUCCESS meaning a 70% loss of excess weight.
He really involved my husband. Wanted to make sure he understood the procedure, affects, and aftercare as well.
I would rate Dr. Cole AAA+
Thank you
I havent actually met with Dr. Cole yet, but I have my first consult appt with him on 12/10/02 and my referral from my PCP has gone thru already.
I have spoken to Dottie in his office and she has been absolutely fabulous...very helpful!
Now I'm getting anxious!
12/2/02....I met w/ Dr. Cole. He seems to really be on the ball. He is very thorough. He and a co-surgeon are the only ones in our area that work with the obese in this manner. Thank God for him and his staff and their understanding and support.
5/27/03...Dr. Cole & Dr. McKane work very well together. The Bariatric Associates at Arnot Health is a fabulous facility.
Dr. Cole knows what he is doing and is very respected in the community.
His wife, Joann is the nurse, and she is very pleasant. The receptionist, Dottie is great too.
Dr. Cole will only tell you the truth and nothing less. He is very up front and explains the risks as well as the benefits to having the surgery.
Dr. Cole is very concerned about all of his patients and goes above and beyond to make sure they are successful after the surgery.
Anyone contemplating this surgery and having Dr. Cole should not hesitate.
dr cole is a really nice dr and i would recommend him to others. dr cole office staff is wonderful their willing to anwer any questions you may have and they dont seem to mind helping you at any time.my surgery was 3/14/03 and because of some kind of mix up with the insurance company it was postpone. dr coles office is doing what they can to correct the problem.
I have to say that Dr. Cole was the kindest Doctor I have ever encountered in my life. He was sympathetic to my plight but not condescending in the least bit. He seemed as excited as me when I got approval from my insurance company! He even left his cell phone number so I could call him directly to get the news! His office has been great in scheduling appointments and everyone is so enthusiastic about this journey for me. I would recommend him to anyone I encountered!
I do not have a single negative thing to say about this experience yet!!!
he is a great doc he will sit there and talk to you all day and understand where you are comming from even if it took you 2 hours he is really a nice guy.
and the people that work for him are great and they all smiled at you like you where normal and they are great people there is nothing wrong with him he is great if you live in pa and can't find a doctor i say go for him you'll really love him
i was impressed with dr cole the first time i met him.dr cole staff is very friendly they anwer any questions you have. dr cole is very up front alot of people might not like his boldness. dr cole will not committe to doing your surgery until you committe to following before and after care procedures.so far i feel comfortable with dr cole.i will let you know what happen afte my surgery.
I had my first consultation with Dr. Cole on Feb.11, 2003. Everyone in the office was very friendly and eager to answer my questions. Dr. Cole came in and sat down next to me and first we just chit chatted about where I live and my job. Then he got down to business and was up front with me about my concerns and issues with the surgery. He described in detail the risks and why he does the type of surgery he does. He drew me pictures and showed me pictures in a hand out of the procedure. He gave me a cup and told me that will be the amound of food that I will be able to consume. He was very honest and up front with his explanations. He went down the list of risks and how my life would change after surgery. He answered all my questions. I'm working on getting all the information that my insurance will require for me to have the surgery. I'm told my next step will be a physical with Dr. Cole. I'm scheduled for that physical on Wed. Feb. 21, 2003 so hopefully I'll know more then.
