Dr. Crum is amazing. He is very meticulous and he is very sensative to what you need to do and he will tell you straight up if you are doing the right thing. I am in awe of this surgeon. I have heard excellent things about him and I trust that he is going to do an excellent job!

I was originally scheduled with Dr.Valin, but I cancelled after I met Dr.Crum.

Dr.Crum is very nice. He has a dry sense of humor, but he knows what he is doing. The WLS program at norwalk hospital is the 3rd he has set up in the US. I am confident with him. I like him and he is very thorough.

Staff is very nice.

Aftercare is important I will see him 15 times after sugery and year lit after that.

He did mention risks, explained a lot.

I think he is a very compitent surgeon from what I know and he is recommending this surgery for me, but has left me the option to decide.

10/10/01 - I met Dr. Crum tonight at my first wls support group meeting at Norwalk Hospital tonight. Dr. Crum seems to be very dedicated to the issues of weight loss and the obstacles that we face. I will be meeting with him tomorrow for my consultation. His assistant Ginnette was so helpful, she led me to this group meeting which helped me make my final decision to have wls.

Dr. Crum is a very well respected surgeon in the Norwalk area. He was the best kept secret when I found him last October. Since then the group of post-op patients he has done is more than double in size. I highly recommend him to anyone considering WLS. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have changed surgens. I had a visit with Dr.Valin April 20th. He was very nice to me and he came in person to talk and not his nurse. He explained everything completely. Im hoping that surgery will be done with him.

OK...I now have a different surgeon his name is Dr.Crum from Norwalk. He's about five minutes from where i live. Transportation has become an issue for me so going to new haven was becoming a bother. I came across Dr.Crums name on the insurance list. He's very kind and comfortable to talk to. I had no doubts at all about him unlike the other two that i had met up with. I would suggest anyone who considers this operation to give him a call.

Sept.10, 2001
I have had the surgery and i must say that Dr. Crum is like no otner Doctor. He has the fullest respect and understanding of his patients and is very kind and gentle to his patients needs. He checked up on me on the hospital often enough to make sure that im doing fine and his assistants as well were as friendly as he was. I would recommend Dr.Crum for sure now that i had the surgery done by him.
