Wonderful, caring, kind, absolutley fantastic! I trust him with my life. He is an excellent surgeon. The office staff is very helpful. Dr. Wieger is very knowledgable and informative about nutrition. The risks of the surgery were spelled out and all of my questions were answered honestly. The aftercare program is excellent. I am only 18 days post-op and am doing fine. I have been very happy with my care and recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr DiMarco!!

I LIKED DR DIMARCO FROM THE START. HE'S
VERY WARM & PERSONABLE. THE OFFICE STAFF,
MOST ESPECIALLY, ERIN SULLIVAN WERE TOPS IN
MY BOOK. AFTERCARE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT;
HE HAS 2 RULES: NO SUGAR & NO SODA. THE
RISKS OF SURGERY WERE CAREFULLY EXPLAINED TO
ME, BUT I WANTED THE SURGERY SO BADLY THAT I
ONLY HALF-LISTENED, TO BE HONEST. OVERALL
HIS RATING WOULD BE A 10, HE NEVER ONCE MADE
ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. I DON'T EXACTLY KNOW
WHY, BUT I ENJOYED SPEAKING TO HIM MORE IN
THE HOSPITAL; HE LOOKED COMFORTABLE IN HIS
SCRUBS, EVEN MORE CONFIDENT. HIS SURGICAL
COMPETENCE IS BAR NONE, BUT I DIDN'T SEE HIM
BUT ONLY ONCE AFTER THE SURGERY. HIS SURGI-
CAL RESIDENTS WERE HOME I SAW THE MOST, AND
THEY WERE ALL ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
7/9/02: One more thing, Dr DiMarco is the
man in my book! I suddenly came down with
horrible diarrhea and without thinking, just
popped two ImodiumAD caplets, and then I got
to worrying about the consequences. And in
less than five minutes after leaving a mesg
with the medical answering burea, Dr D had
called me back! That is absolutely thrilling
to me since I've had prior experiences with
doctor's who never called back, as horrible
as that sounds. And he didn't sound rushed
or hurried, and made a point of asking how
everything else was going. That made me
feel great, that I'm not just another patient
to him. He may be the busiest man in our
Harrisburg area, but he's sure worth the
wait! Sincerely, Toni Lopatic

I haven't actually met Dr.D yet. I had my consultation with his associate Dr. Weiger in Nov 2001. He was very nice and took time with me reviewing my history. He also when over the pros and cons and explained the whole process from pre-sug workup to the structured aftercare plan. I have been scheduled for surgery July 2002. I will be having it done by Dr. D's new partner. I haven't met him yet either, but will be meeting June 3rd at the support group they hold. The office staff was helpful in informing me of what I needed to do prior to getting insurace approval. Once I had all the information they took care of submitting it to the ins. co. They also notified me when they received the approval. Erin seems to know her"stuff" when dealing with insurance companies. The staff does seem to be kept very busy though. The only disapointment I had was having to be put on a waiting list to receive a surgery date. I now this is unavoidable, and in my best interest, but you know, we all want what we want right away! All in all, I have been happy with my experience with the Weight Loss Clinic.

My first visit to see if I qualified for surgery was with Dr Wieger ( Dr. DiMarco's associate ) and found him to be informative and very understanding of obesity. I then at a later date saw Dr.DiMarco. Dr.DiMarco was also very understanding and did not make me feel rushed in any way during my visit with him. He took the time to explain the procedure as well as answered any questions I had. He also explained the follow-up program post-op. I was approved for my surgery by BC/BS recently and hope to have it around May 2002 or as Dr.DiMarco's schedule allows as he is very busy doing approx 12 per month. Also the office staff has been great with me as I wanted this surgery yesterday if you know what I mean. I see this as a way to get my life back and to be healthy for myself and my family. I also took the time to e-mail Dr.DiMarco's pts. found in this website and found them to be very pleased with their care and the outcome of the WLS.

Well I just came home today 4/29 and I must say I feel great and infact almost pain free although I realize everyones pain levels are not the same. My surgery took alittle longer then the norm as my hiatal hernia became somewhat of a challenge. The hospital and staff were greatand I just say a big " Thank You " to Dr. DiMarco and staff. I will update as I see the weight change........Mark

Well I am past the 2 weeks post-op and doing really great. I have had no problems other then midback pain which I feel is from the time spent on the OR table. Foods are going well and it is great to feel full on such small servings. For me I would do it all over again in a heartbeat as I feel Dr.DiMarco did a great job as my energy level as well as my overall health has improved from this procedure. The office staff has been great at the Weight Loss Clinic as I did have some problems with payment on a few pre-op issues to which almost all have been resolved thanks to Erin and Diane for their assistance. Wlll update further out.........................Mark

I have met with both Dr. Weiger and DiMarco. Both gentlemen and wonderous workers whom have been heaven sent are just pure ANGELS! I have had many questions and many changes and the gentlemen know the in's and out's of this procedure. Never once have either of them made me feel indifferent or ashamed of ME! The office staff seemed a little stand offish at first and but I have begun to realize the situation, we are persons whom are seeking aid in our lives for a VERY personal reason and VERY serious life style change. The office staff stays distance at first to give us our room to recgonize all what we are about to experience and is in every way an asset to and for our every need. There is not anything I did like least about The Angels of Life or their staff-they have a very big and responsible job-OUR LIVES in their hands. Future patients should know, The Clinic knows their stuff. The risks are always their, just pray about it! The Angels of Life and Staff are rated top notched! I have referred many and want to be a living witness. All is great, with a few bumps as in life is to be expected, at the Clinic. I am so excited for my surgery in July...thank you for a life style change!

I haven't met Dr. DiMarco yet. I have my consultation on Nov. 5th with Dr. Weiger.

I met with Dr. DiMarco on Dec. 6th. He was very nice and informative. He went over the surgery with me and my husband and was very glad that my husband did come with me. Told me what to expect after the surgery and how long it would take. My only problem was they are very backed up and I won't have a surgery date until June or July. I'm praying that it happens in June or even May. That would really be great. The best thing is the nurse told me I have approval from my insurance company, so that is one less thing to worry about.

Haven't met Dr. DiMarco yet, Dr. Weiger was really great.

Office staff could use some shaping up. I'll let you know more when I meet Dr. D.

5/5/02
I met with Dr. D and I thought he was great. He was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. He didn't rush through anything and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The worst thing I can say about him is that yes, he is always late.. I should also comment that the office staff seemed much friendlier this time around..

I also met with the nutritionist and thought that she was very nice.

My first impression I was very unsure how to take Dr. DiMarco and his staff. Originally they appeared like the typical doctors office, but with every visist they got nicer and nicer and were on a first name basis without even seeing my name on the sign in sheet.
I have always been apprehensive about stepping on the scale but not with them, I didn't feel like they were snickering when I stepped up. Don't be afraid to ask questions, if you don't understand ask. Thats why they are there, to answer questions and to make you comfortable and to ease your fears and reservations.
So far I have had no negative experiences with Dr. DiMarco......and hopefully wont.

My first impression of him was that he seem like a Doctor that really cared about obesity. My impression hasn't changed any.
His office staff wasn't the greatest when I first started but I understand it has got alot better.

I had my first consultion with Dr. Weiger on 4-20-02 everything went well. Dr. Weiger was very nice and went over all of the details with me. I felt very comfortable.
