Jose Rodriguez Bariatric Surgeon

The doctor was wonderful, answered any and all questions took time to talk to me and address any questions i had. Surgery went good no complications . Great bed side manner. Very knowlegable and talented surgeon i knew i was in capable hands. The hospital was small but very clean and the staff were absolutely wonderful and gentle they speak only spanish but the doctor speaks english. I knew a little spanish and got along fine. They have a phone line where you can call your family for free. I was very pleased with my experience and if had to do it again would go back.

He is a very nice man. He came into the clinic like a hurricane. I thought not another rude doctor. But when he came to my room he sat on the bed next to me and look me in my eyes and asked if I had any question or felt nervous. He explained what he was going to do and how long I would be unde. He was vey kind and personal. After my surg he performed 5 others. When I woke up from surg He was in my room about 10 mins later checking on me. He check on me 4 other times before he left the clinic. The next morinig I seen him bright and early and he looked at my incision and gave me post op teaching. Then he let me eat breakfast. After breakfast he rounded again and asked if i had any question. He was wonderful. He provided me with the lapband box and gave me all my medication. He also provided me with suger report and infomation on procedure and cost. I would highly recommed anybody thinking about having surg with him to do it, Also the patient coordinator Barbra is excellent. I went by myself and she really checked on me plus she provids alot of information. She was banded by Dr RDZ a few years ago. rnMy experience was excellent. And all the male nurses were so CUTE!!!

rnHi ALL:rnrnDr Rodriguez was great. He was not too talkative, but allowed me to ask all of my questions. He was professional and comforting. I felt in good hands throughout the experience. Barbara is great (really great)! She was very comforting and made certain all of my needs were met. Also, I was glad to see she was not a \"marketing\" personality like some of the the other lapband offices I had previously talked with. She is a regular person that has had the same experiences as I have and works to keep her weight and diet where she wants it. She is a great resource!rnrnI choose to have surgery in Acuna because of the reviews and experience of Dr. Rod., the cost, and the close proximity to where I live and work.rnrnThe surgery was not too bad! Although, like many others, I felt like a trapped rat at the last minute and wondered what the hell I was doing. After my crazed moment, I remembered that this is what I want to do in order to be free from being forever fat. Before my self-conversation was over, the surgery was finished and I was comfortably in my hosptial bed resting. Everything went very fast!!rnrn I felt fine after the first week, but still battle with a few minor problems that will take time to adjust to, such as the taste of the protein shakes, learning what \"full, but not too full\" means, etc etc. I did hope for an email or call from Dr. Rod after I went home. Barbara however, did send an email. rnrnMy experience was a good one and one that I do not regret at all. I am looking forward to the self discovery approaching.rnrnMarcy

First impression is one of kindness, very upfront and interested in making you feel at ease. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He is caring and very compassionate. I have never heard one bad thing about him. He has a staff that has implemented before care and a great aftercare support team. I was able to email with questions and talk with him by phone. I would not hesitate to send anyone to him. I am a self-pay patient.

I got great care from Dr Rodriguez.rn Good bedside manner. They made you feel like you have they have known you all your life. They were very professional..

Dr. Rod is very friendly. You can e-mail him and he will personally and promptly e-mail you back. I am very happy with the attention he has given me so far.

Dr. Rodriguez is a caring, gentle doctor who didn't rush me while I was asking questions. I had not met him prior to the day of surgery, but felt like I had so much information about him and had talked to people who had surgery by him, that I felt like I knew him. He's very personable. My surgery went well, my incisions are small and neat looking, and so far after 3 weeks, things are going well. His patient liason gal, Barbara educated me fully and continues to do so if I have questions. This is all information that Dr. Rodriguez has approved and wants given to his patients. I would rate my experience highly and was so blessed to find a place for my surgery that I could afford. I could not afford the costs of surgery in the U.S.

Dr. Rodriguez was the sweetest man. I only met him the morning of my surgery and he answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. When I was taken down to the operating room the last thing I remember was Dr. Rodriguez holding my hand and he told me he was going to take good care of me and everything was going to be great. The staff in Mexico didn't speak much english at all but there was one nurse that would come around and ask the inportant questions. I give them a GREAT rating.

I have not met Dr. Jose face to face yet, but he personally responded to my first email. Barbara his assistant has been a god-send.
