I have changed surgeons because my surgery was re-scheduled and Dr. Wienke is relocating between the time I was originally scheduled and the new date. So I am with Dr. Rosen. I haven't met him yet.

My first impression of Dr. Wienke was very good. He is very matter of fact and down to business, but didn't rush me or dismiss my questions.

Dr. Wienke's office has a tremendously well-structured pre/post care regiment, created to help patients maximize their losses. I'm very impressed with the quality of their plan.

The office staff is great. Reasonably efficient and friendly. A number of them have had the surgery themselves and are very open about their procedures and results. That was reassuring.

Dr. Rosen is a great doctor!! Very warm and friendly.

Dr. Rosen was very professional, friendly and very supportive. The staff at the wish center are always eager to help with questions and my concerns. This program is great - at first I didn't like the idea of waiting 6-8 wks and doing the actual eating habits I would be doing for the rest of my life, but as the weeks progress I understand the concept behind the reason! The pre-diet eating helps you understand what to expect and really makes you think of why you want this for yourself - remember it's you and you alone that is the manager of your body..and I might as well start managing my body from the beginning of my decision to have this major change to MY body.

Rosen was an excellent surgeon. It's only been four weeks in and I have had minor complications that are very common. Dr. Rosen has been extremely responsive and answered all my questions thoroughly. He did an excellent job so far and my scars are quite small and have healed beautifully. I am very happy with Dr. Rosen. He has an excellent staff tht is well trained, caring, and knowledgeable. I can call them at any time and they are always willing to help. I've never waited more than two minutes to speak to someone when I called. I have absolutely no complaints about Dr. Rosen. He's extremely conservative about after care as he is very concerned with patients and wants them to have as little complications as possible. He has a very structured after care so as to make recovery as easy as possible for the patient. He was very thorough in advising me of risks that go along with surgery. I had to take both a test about the risks and speak to him about them before I could go on with the surgery. I give him an A+ so far. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are excellent.

Dr. Jeff Rosen
My first impression of him was he is funny and
yet every much to the point. He lets you know that
he means what he said. He tells you about the
goals you must met. If you don't meet the goals he
will not do surgery. I felt that because of his Medical back
ground as a Tramua Surgeon. He would be the best in any case.
He would be trained in all areas in case somthing should go wrong.
Dr.Rosen was great during my care. He was there for me as he
had told me he would be. Not all Doctors are. He told me he would be in
with me for my upper GI and I thought to my self ya right. He impressed me
he was there. That sure gave me the confidence in him that I needed.
I would recomend Dr. Rosen and the Wish Center to any one.

I first attended a seminar given by the WISH Center and it was given by Dr Jeff Rosen. At the end of that seminar, my husband said how he liked that this doc was so straight forward with what he was saying. When I went to my consult appointment I found out that he would in fact be my surgeon.

I found the office staff overall to be very friendly and professional -- a good combination in my book! It seems I have had a little trouble getting prompt replies to voice mails left, but nothing was of an emergency nature so I am not holding grudges on that.

WISH has a VERY structured before and aftercare program which I see as a sign that they take this process very seriously. The doc went into details about the surgery and risk. As part of the initial consultation you meet with several of their staff: a nurse, dietician, psychiatrist, exercise physiologist, insurance handler, and the surgeon.

Be forewarned, they do have some things you should be aware of, 1) BMI's over 50 are not candidates for laparascopic surgery (this is just their policy -- other docs may do it without a problem); and 2) they are not in-network docs for any insurance company as bariatric surgeons. Be prepared for them to request an up-front deposit of $2000 for open rny and $3000 for laparascopic -- payable at your pre-surgical appointment.

Dr. Rosen - very cheerful and upbeat. Took time to meet with us. Met us in the x-ray department to talk with us 2 days after discharge from hospital when checking for problems.

I first met Dr. Rosen at a seminar held by the Wish Center (before it was called that, actually) last May. I really liked his style -- he was convincing with the information that WLS surgery is the only way to go for many of us. That, in addition to the statistics he offered, really helped me to make my decision.

I went to see him and his staff last June. I was nervous, but overall they were very good. I was not prepared to be there for the long appointment they had me scheduled for -- perhaps because I was nervous, perhaps because I felt overwhelmed, but it was a little much for me...especially because they scheduled the surgery right then and there.

I first met Dr. Rosen at my first pre-op appointment. He appeared knowledgeable and very pleasant. He answered all my questions. The office staff was informative and very pleasant. The only disappointment I had with the Wish Center was the duration of the appointment. I was at the Center for almost 4 hours. That is entirely too long to meet with the doctor and team. The appointment could be handled in half that amount of time with all information covered. The Center does a good job with preparation for surgery(diet and exercise program for one month before surgery). It has a follow up consultation which better prepares you for surgery(another 4 hours)and an aftercare program. Dr. Rosen did address all the risks of surgery. I really don't know how to rate him. I am not a physcian. I have spoken to others who have had surgery done by Dr.Rosen and they are doing well. I am praying that I am in good hands. I can rate the doctor and the staff much better after surgery.
