From what I understand, Dr (and I use the term loosely)Georgitis is no longer practicing medicine. To that I say "Thank God". He almost killed me. Was in a coma for almost 2 weeks, he cut my liver, and when the surgery didn't work, he casually stated that he'll just do it over. YEAH, right. I would not let him touch me again.
The week before my girlfriend had surgery by him and he cut her spleen. I hope that he never returns to surgery.
My mother in law had her surgery 4 years ago. shes lost over 100 pounds. well 1 yeear ago. her intestense wrapped together and died off and gang green dr.g was the doctor who did the emergency. Her regular doc kept telling her there was nothing wrong and medicated her. So now dr.g is her doc. He cares about his patients. were family now he gives hugs every visit, makes me feel like part of the family. 1 - 10 1 being bad and 10 being the best I rate him a 10. 4sure. THeir both great. He is a great doctor.
I had my surgery on Dec. 6th 2005 and I will tell you right now, Dr. G is the best Dr. there is. I had a lot of complications after surgery and Dr. G was there the whole time. He answered all my questions and made me feel so much better! I have gone to him for hernia repairs and a hysterectomy after my gastric bypass and I will go to him again! I love Dr. G!
My first impression of Dr. G was that he seemed like a very good doctor. I had quite a few family members that had him as a surgeon so I was kind of prepare of what to expect. He was very polite and understanding as well as being very informative about everything. My impression has not changed much other than I found out he was a great doctor and a very good surgeon. His office staff was also very nice. He stated that aftercare was very important and that no matter what I was doing or where I was he would like to hear from me periodically. He was a very straitforward man about the risks and complications of the surgery and he did not try to butter up anything. I think that the most important thing is surgical competence but Dr. G has both competence and bedside manner. I think he was a great doctor and would recomend him to anyone looking into this surgery.
Dr. Georgitis and his PA-C Brandy Eaton are two of the most wonderful people ever!!! Both have an excellent bedside manner. Thay are caring people who listen. I have never felt rushed when speaking with them. They explain thing to you. My incision is so great. Small and didn't even need staples. I honestly can't say enough great things about them and thier program at SMMC. I would highly recommend them to anyone, anytime.
He was the most caring man in his profession - he makes you feel like you were his only patient- the office staff were always helpful- only one thing i didnt like was i figured out i wasnt the only patient he had -lolol- the after care in his eyes is every 2 to 3 months you must come into be check and ask any quiestions you have then after the first year your seen once yearly-- patients thinking of this doctor would be very safe in choosing him hes a very peronable man- he sits ou down in your very first meeting and explains all about the surgery and the risks and no kidding aside there are risks - he explained what the out come could be or what it might not be .On a scale of 10 he gets a big 10 - bedside and competence both are superb
