I was referred to my surgeon by a co-worker who had wls to cure her sleep apnea. During our meetings, he talked to me and listened to what I had to say, and made me feel very at ease. I did have complications after surgery, but the medical team at Sharp helped me through it, and the office staff was able to answer any of the questions I had after I left the hospital.
Well Im a little biased since my personal physician is a personal friend of mine and our kids go to high school together. And her husband is a plastic surgeon in the same office as my Gastric Bypass surgeon. So, since I have met him socially a few times I already knew that he is a great guy, highly intelegent and a great surgeon. Even so, I still attended the information session, learned what it was all about, and then met him on my first office visit. He explained everything, and his office staff, and counselors filled in all the blanks around the surgery having to do with nutrition, attending groups, what it will be like and do I have what it takes to go through all this. The aftercare is the most important. And Dr. Mueller's office has it all mapped out and want to make sure that you take full advantage of everything. If you aren't, then you should think twice about the surgery. So far, since I am pre-op until tomorrow, I would rate him and his staff a 10! I doubt the rating will change much after the surgery other than to go up above a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10!rn----rnSo now post surgical: What can I say but WOW!. I had surgery Monday morning, 10/23 and everything went great. I even got to go home a day early, on Turesay 10/24. Im sure thats not for everyone but he and the surgical team did a great job. Thanks George.. Ill add more after my post op visits.
First met with Dr. Mueller at his information seminar early Feb. Extremely informative and willing to take the time to answer everyone's questions. Very personable and knowledgeable! Have my first consult with him this Wed., March 1st. His office also scheduled my consults with the internist and psychologist on the same day. Looks like I'm really on my way! Only negative is the girl that answers the phone at his office. She's a bit stand-offish and curt! Otherwise, the other staff members and Dr. Mueller have been wonderful!
Dr. Mueller was very informative. The program set up in the Sharp system is great. Nutritionalist, Nurse, Insurance and other specialist to help you through the entire pre-op portion as well as support groups and other events for the post-op. Dr. Mueller preformed laproscopic Roen-Y. He does approaimately 98% of all ops laproscopically which drastically reduces recovery time. I recommend him for anyone looking into this type of WLS.
I first met Dr. Mueller at an informational seminar and was very impressed with how personable he was. He was very open about all the aspects involved in the surgery (good and bad). Dr. Mueller's staff was extremely helpful and stayed in touch throughout my testing and approval process. There is a great aftercare program in place that is strongly encouraged. I feel lucky to have found a surgeon who is both extremely competent and has a great bedside manner.
