My fist impression of Dr. Mueller was that he was extremely busy, active kind of guy. I have been researching WLS as an option for over 2 years, and had to been to his seminar twice. I went to quite a few local doctors several time before I decided to go with Dr. Mueller. I like his approach, I research his track record, his years of practice, mortality rate, etc. rnHis office staff is very efficient and friendly, and are more then willing to help you and answer your questions and concerns. The focus on aftercare is so great, that was a real driving force for my selecting him.
Dr. Mueller is a top-notch surgeon and doctor. His enthusiasm for what he does is evident in every interaction and his bedside manner is fantastic. rnrnI looked into a number of programs in San Diego, and Dr. Mueller's was by far the most comprehensive and well put together. Before my surgery, his office staff made sure that everything was in place both with paperwork and my pre-op diet; it is a huge relief to me knowing that I have an entire staff to call on, including a dietician and nurse.rnrnDr. Mueller's use of new techniques and tools like the On-Q pain pump helped my recovery go much smoother. Three days out from surgery and I'm already almost back to normal! I would recommend him repeatedly to anyone I know who is interested in the surgery.
I loved my surgeon! He was so interested in what was best for me. My first impression of him was that he looked like Jean Luke Piccard from Star Trek. He was very energetic and answered all my questions.rnrnI loved the fact that his RN who did the seminar was a patient herself and explained every detail of the surgery. She even covered the statistics of the hospital and the doctor. Dr. Mueller has 0 deaths and 0 leaks cause he reinforces the staples with stitches. rnrnAlthough I am not able to attend his after care program, cause I live 2 hours away, he does have a program that is required for people in the vicinity. rnrnOn a scale of 1 (worst) to 10 (excellent) I give Dr. Mueller and Sharp Memorial Hospital a 10. They were very attentive at the hospital to my needs and took quality care of me.rnrnMy experience was the best I have ever had at a hospital.
As an Investigative/ Consumer Producer I did extensive research before choosing a Surgeon. Although living in Texas at the time... I researched Surgeons throughout the US. My results after Background, Medical Board, Court Records, and BBB results.. the obvious choice was Dr. George A. Mueller. His expertise preceded him. After meeting him, my research was confirmed. He is professional, caring, provides answers to all questions and concerns. I believe your results and success have a lot to do with your choice in surgeons. I went from a size 20/22 wide to a 7/8 in 1 year. I am happy, healthy and forever grateful for Dr. Mullers care & support. I now reside in the Palm Spring Area and look forward to helping others through their decission making process.rn
I have met with Dr. Mueller twice, but seen him around because I was w/ my friend the day of her operation. He is very sweet. His staff team are very polite and always ready to help, his insurance girl name Chennele is great, very friendly and always ready to answer any question. She is on top of things. And everyone is very professional and have a great system to make it easy as possible.
My surgeon was great. My first impression of him was that I could trust him. He has the experience to do this for me. I learned that he had corrected a hernia operation many years before which also cemented my assurance that he is the Dr. I wanted. Over time I realized that he takes the time to answer your questions, very honest, and I did not feel like another person in a revolving door. Dr. Mueller emphasized aftercare and his office has a great staff that will answer your questions. They want you to succeed in this journey and they give you the tool to do this and the support to help you succeed. He address my concerns and especially my husbands concerns about what to expect and he was honest and upfront. I would rate him above average because I got above average from him and his staff. Surgical competence and bedside manner was fantastic.
My mother is an Rn, She works with Mr. Mueller.rnHe is a very nice and funny guy. Defiinantly a type A personality, which to me was very important to find when picking a doctor. I signed up for Lap-Band Surgery On Jan. 3rd. Hopefully it wont take more than 4-6 weeks to get my surgery, and I'm praying that My Insurance will cover it! :)
I meet Dr. Mueller at a Seminar here in San Diego. I liked him right off the bat, because he just gave it to us. No sugar coating anything. He got upset with me at my 1st post-Op appt. He gave it to me, and I deserved it. I wanted to be completely honest with him, and I was. I told him I ate a few bits of different things on Thanksgiving. He held no punch's, and told me straight up what I did was wrong. I actually admire that. He is awesome, and a very honest, caring Doctor. His whole staff has been just the best to me. I really love them all, and could not have done this without any of there help.
