George Ferzli Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS

Dr. Ferzli is a great surgeon.He takes the time out for each of his patients and listens to all their question. His office staff is wonderful too they make you feel right at home. My surgery was Aug. 11, 2009. Just taking it one day at a time.

When I first met Dr. Ferzli, I thought that he was very serious but, professional and intelligent.rnrnOver time, I felt very comfortable with him. I found him to be very pleasant, compassionate and understanding. I was able to easily open up and speak to him about any questions and concerns that I had. Dr. Ferzli was very honest with all of his answers. rnrnHis office staff is very knowledgeable and supportive. You can call them at any time and they always make themselves available to answer any questions. rnrnThe nutritionist Lisa Lobel guides you step by step on what you need to do. They have specific diets for you to follow. The guides they have are very easy to follow.rnrnI think that Dr. Ferzli was great in every way. I don’t have any negative remarks about him.rnrnFuture patients should know that if you choose Dr. Ferzli as your doctor, you’re in excellent hands. He’s an excellent doctor and surgeon who makes sure that you’re well taken care of at all times. He also has a great team of doctors at the hospital to take care of you at all times.rnrnDr. Ferzli specifically emphasizes what you needs to do for aftercare.rnrnDr. Ferzli was very honest in addressing the risky surgery.rnrnOn the scale of 1 to 10 (1 to be the lowest and 10 to be the highest) I would rate him a 10.rnrnI would say that surgical competence and bedside manner are both great.rnrnDR. DR FERZLI HAS IMPRESSIVE CREDENTIALS I MET WITH HIM 3 TIMES AND HE TALKED INTO GASTRIC BYPAS INSTEAD OF LAP BAND DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT I NEED TO LOSE. HE WOULD HAVE PREFERRED GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY BUT INS WOULD NOT COVER IT SO HE FELT BYPASS BEST OPTION

I am extremely happy with the procedure. My health is improved. I am still diabetic, but my glucose level ranges 90-100's and before the surgery it was in the high 200's (and higher). I am very happy with Dr. Vulpe-- he is an excellent doctor.

I would not recommend this procedure be I had many post-op complications. But I am happy that I lost over 115 lbs. I love Dr. Vulpe and could not ask for a better doctor; my family adores him.

Dr. Ferzli is excellent and explained everything to me before the surgery. I had no problems after the proceedure, but did have some pain the first day; I felt fine afterwards, however. Dr. Ferli's office and professional staff are always so friendly, pleasant and encouraging. My advice is that as long as you stick to the diet and do everything they say, you will be fine!

two months ago had the gastric bypas surgery doing well. very happy with the dr and staff will recommend anyone to see dr ferzli and his staff for great support

Before my surgery I read all the reviews about Dr. Ferzli. Dr. Ferzli has hands of gold and is a very caring person. From the moment I met Donna I knew I was making the right choice to have gastric bypass. Donna is awesome. Before my surgery she was on my speed dial. Donna always talked me through the panic of the surgery and made me feel at ease before and after my surgery. Lisa was and is still currently on my speed dial, and still answers any questions I have.rn Dr. Fezli's staff is wonderful. They are all so nice and helpful. rnIt was desperate times and something needed to be done about my weight. It has been abt. 5 1/2 months since my surgery, I'm down 69 lbs, and feel fabulous. I met Dr. Ferzli in September 2008. I was immediately impressed by his office (a beautiful old home) and the professionalism of his staff. In our initial meeting he struck me as kind and knowledgeable.rnrnI had RNY surgery in April 2009. Dr. Ferzli was caring and my surgery was uneventful. rnrnAbout 3 weeks after I developed a complication (bleeding ulcer) which put me back in the hospital for 3 weeks. I am very content with my choice of surgeons. Doctor Ferzli has always answered my questions and made me feel comfortable during office visits. I am one and a half years out and have lost the malority of my weight. I continue to receive help from my nutritionist Laura. The office staff is also very friendly.
