His wife Debbie is a wonderful person, and very smart and professional with the medical points that are addressed. She gave me a lot of support.rnI give them a AAA+ and reccomend me them to everyone I meet. With their help I was given a chance to regain my life.

So far my surgeon seems confident and pleasant. You know doctors aren't known for talking. I know someone who works for him, and she says he is great.

My first impression of Dr. Valin was that he was very professional and gets right down to business. My impression of him didn't really change over time, as I did not see much of him. The office staff were all very polite and friendly. The only thing that I didn't like about my experience with Dr. Valin was that no one came and saw me until the day after surgery (maybe because this was my first surgery ever I got nervous). Future patients should know that he has an awesome reputation, which was expressed to me by several other medical professionals. He has a very educational packet with aftercare and Diana (nutritionist) and Chris (psychotherapist) give you a book and CD and you go to a pre-op educaitonal meeting. He addresses the risks of surgery by explaining that all surgeries have risks associate with them. Overall, so far, I would rate Dr. Valin at an 8. I think that surgical compentence is better than bedside manner, as I don't want any further complications to arise.

My first impression of Dr. Valin.He is very funny guy not only that he has a very kind heart for all his patients. He carry 's a lot of weight in the his profession. His staff is very well manner an pleasant to all. All above I was very pleased with the beside manner of Dr.Valin.I only met him 4 times the day of my office visit,enodospy,day of my surgery and the day of my suppose to be discharge day. He is very coccern Doctor and person.

I have not yet met Dr. Valin but his staff is absolutely wonderful!! Debbie, his nurse practitioner (and wife) is so helpful and down to earth. I never feel like I am just anumber or that I'm just there to give my money. It's like being with family. rnrnThey seem to have an excellent after care program in place. The nutritionist and psychologist are equally as helpful. I really can't say anything bad about them.

Dr. Elmer Valin is a very kind and compassionate doctor. He explained everything and was available to answer questions. I was only in the hospital for three days and I was ready to go ack to work within three weeks. Five years ago, I had my surgery and I have lost 200 pounds. I am proud and feel great.

I Actually did not meet Dr. Valin until pretty far on in the process, which was fine - his team takes such good care of you and they know everything you need to know other that doing the actual surgery - that's his job. He was small and quiet and to the point, not overly friendly, but just matter of a fact. He knew his stuff for sure - and everyone talks about him - great reputation - amongst his peers too - the anesthesia team raved about him, before I went in and that was without me asking - they just offered the info. I knew I was in GOOD SKILFUL HANDS - if you add his staffs bedside manner along with his incredible knowledge you have the PERFECT team. I am 2 days post op - just remember the first 24-48 hrs are the worst - it gets so much better when you get into your own home.

I thought Dr. Valin was great. good sense of humor. during the exam i was told i was having a baby boy! LOL thought it was quite amuzing. I would recommend anyone in the new haven area to contact Dr. Valin. I researched another hospital in CT and found that Dr. Valin and his wife Debbie are great people. Felt very comfortable with the whole practice.

One word in regard to Dr. Valin and his staff. AWESOME.rnrnI've had two surgeries with Dr. Valin as my surgeon. If you do your part and follow the capable instructions of the staff, have all your ducks in a row, you will more than likely be approved for surgery and succeed in your quest for a healthier, thinner you.
