I used another doctor for my WLS but Dr. Thomas agreed following some disputes with the other doctor to be my aftercare doctor. This man is awesome and my only regret is not coming to him to begin with on my journey!!!

My first impression of Dr. Thomas came during one support meeting I went to with a friend of mine. He was very imformative of the risks of surgery and the risks of not having the surgery. I had already made up my mind that I wanted to have it, just had a few more questions for him and he put my mind to ease. After the first office meeting of his staff I was very impressed with how caring and truely down to earth his staff was. Dr. Thomas is a great person and I really am glad I was introduced to him so I can live a nice healthy longer life now.

Dr. Thomas answered all of my questions and showed a genuine concern for helping me be successful in my weight loss through a Lap-Band procedure. He explained all risks and options. With each visit he has continued to prepare me for what I should expect and the costs involved. He always sits with me for as long as I need to talk-never appears rushed. He encourages participation in support groups held in the hospital where some have the surgery. He held an informational conference to the public which I attended to explain the RNY and Lap-Band procedures. He suggested an initial endoscopy to verify that the upper GI tract was healthy before doing a Lap-Band. During this procedure it was determined I had a significant hiatal hernia which he feels can be repaired in conjunction with the lap-band, which may save me some money in the end.

My initial contact with Dr. Thomas and his office staff was favorable. I meet with Dr. Thomas several months prior to my surgery date and decided to attend a couple of support group meetings prior to making any final decisions on whom I would elect to perform the procedure. I was rather impressed with Dr. Thomas's bed side manner he appeared to be honestly concerned with his patient's overall health and concerns. It also impressed me how he politely answered all my repeative questions regarding surgurical procedures, possible complications and recovery time. I was pleased to learn Dr. Thomas insisted on viewing your digestive track and stomach one month prior to surgery for those patients who suffer from acid reflux. It was discovered that I had a hiatial hernia, Dr. Thomas wanted to speak with me personally regarding risks and wanted to ensure I would be comfortable with a longer surgical time since I also suffered from sleep apena.

My first impression of Dr. Thomas was positive. My impression has not changed. His staff is very helpful and friendly. Haven't come across really anything I dislike about him. Future patients should plan on complying with what he says, and all will be ok. Dr. Thomas puts a large empasize on aftercare and genuinely cares about his patients. There are scheduled seminar and support groups every month. Dr. Thomas went over the positive as well as the negative and the many risks this surgery could cause. I was very fortunate in the fact that I have a very knowledgable surgeon with a good bedside manner. These are my personal observations and may not reflect your experience with Dr. Thomas or The Tomorrow's Weigh Program. I had a complication and had to have a second surgery within a week of the first and still everthing is going ok as long as I do what the doctor orders.

I was very impressed with Dr. Thomas' attitude. He went over the pros and cons of the procedure and the after affects. His staff was very friendly. Patti was very helpful with what I needed to get done before the surgery. His bedside manner so far has been great.

My first impression of Dr.Thomas was good...He was direct and to the point and he did not mind at all the many questions I hit him with. All the way through the whole process I felt more and more comfortable with him doing my surgery. His office staff is excellent..they are very caring and down to earth women in his office...you feel at home. Haha,,the least thing I liked about him was that he took my drainage bag out of my stomach when I wasn't expecting it but, I am glad now he did it that way,,,it didn't hurt or anything, just unexpected...haha...Future patients should know that he is going to be blunt,,,not mean but blunt,,,but, he also treats each patient like a human being rather than cattle like some docs do...He is very adamant about aftercare...He tells you exactly what to look for and what needs to be done as far as aftercare...When he told me the risks about the surgery,he was very honest and is happy to answer any questions at all you have for him...and he stresses no question is stupid...As far as rating him overall,,,I honestly could not have asked for a better doctor...His surgical competence and bedside manner were both excellent...I would not have any problems recommending him to anyone for this procedure....FYI,,,when you first meet him he seems to talk alot of medical terminalogy and fast,,,so you may have to tell him to slow down and talk plain english,,,he comes across at first kind of stuffy but, he really is not,,,once you joke with him he jokes right back.....
