Very kind, calm and reasurring. His office staff is very helpful. I would rate him very highly. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. I would have no problems recommending him to anyone.rnrnI would have liked more information about the recovery period and what to expect post-op, but other than that I haven't experienced anything negative.

I like Dr. Ferrari a lot. His bed side maner is not everything it could be, but the man knows his stuff. And that helps like him even that much more. His staff is very helpful with any problems that I had. They all were there for me when I needed them know matter what time of day!

Dr. Ferrari is very professional. Not very chatty, but all questions are answered. He seems to really appreciate the research and the questions I asked prior to surgery. rnrnWhat I liked least about Dr. Ferrari is that I didn't get to spend more time with him. But I know he's busy and that would have been difficult. Quite frankly, there was probably not enough time in the world that I could have spent with him. I was a wee bit nervous before surgery.rnrnHis office staff is attentive and always reachable, which is great. The day I was released from the hospital, a staff member called to make sure I was comfortable and talked to me about why I should slow down on my meds.rnrnrnAftercare in Dr. Ferrari's office is as important as pre-op care. I'm in a structured program. I understand what is expected of me and more. I don't want to disappoint myself or the staff. rnrnI'm writing the rest of this in a way that attempts to answer OH's questions. rnrn * How did he/she address the risks of surgery?rnrnI had to sign several forms. At the top of the first form, it warns that death can be the result of surgery. I was willing to die to have a new chance at life.rnrn * How would you rate him/her overall?rnrnI would give him an A.rnrn * Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great?rnrnSurgical competence is more important than bedside manner. I wanted a surgeon confident in his skill, a doctor who takes pride in helping others take this journey. Dr.Ferrari fit the bill for me.rnrn

My first impression of Dr. Ferrari was one of quiet confidence. He is a soft spoken man who was able to allay any fears I had. He answered any and all questins I had with ease and sincerity. He has an excellent bedside manner and an innate warmth to his mannerisms. I would recommend him to anyone.

My first impression of Dr. Ferrari was how was he going to judge me for being overweight. He did not, in fact he made me feel really confident and provided valuable information about the surgery. He had no problem answering all of my questions and concerns. I really liked the ladies in the office they seem to be pleasant and helpful. I did not have any problems with the way that I was treated in the office. Dr Ferrari and his staff are very helpful and reliable. If you decide to visit the office or have him perform your surgery make sure that you ask all of the questions, do not hold nothing in and regret it later. They are there to help you and provide you with the tools to accomplish your goals. They provide information about what you should expect before and after the surgery and all other risks that can take place during surgery. I would recommend any one to this office.

I think he may be a little more conservative or cautious than other doctors. For instance, he doesn't do the first adjustment until 6 weeks after the surgery. Some doctor's will perform this after 2-3 weeks.

Dr. Ferrari doesn't have warm and fuzzy bed side manner, but he's a GREAT surgeon. I wrote something tacky about his staff and that was childish of me. They're all actually really nice. I'm sure their job is MOST stressful with all these overly anxious people in their faces on a day-to-day basis. I'd recommend Ferrari to anyone in a heart beat!

I liked Dr. Ferrari from the moment I met him. He took the time to explain my options and told me what his recommendations were. He was very informative and I felt very much at ease with him and can't say enough good things about him. Though he is a very busy doctor, I like that when I am in the exam room with him, he treats me as if I was his only patient. His staff is extremely helpful and are very friendly. I guess my only complaint would be the wait time to see him. So I make sure to bring a book when I have an appointment. Future patients should know that he will tell it like it is. He doesn't sugarcoat anything. He emphasizes aftercare a great deal. I was given a lot of good information and resources. Like I said before he is very straight forward and doesn't sugarcoat anything, he lets you know the risks of surgery but also lets you know the risks of doing nothing. I would grade him a 10 out of 10 for surgical competence and bedside manners. I am very pleased with him and would recommend him to anyone and everyone that is thinking about having gastric bypass surgery.

First impression was he was a no nonsense type of Doctor. dont go to him and expect a warm bedside manner. rnthe staff is ok, but i am not completely happy with how they gave instructions on my pre surgery diet. they were not specific in telling me that i needed to loose an exact number of pounds or the dr would cancel me. (which is what happened)rni think that both surgical competance and bedside manner should go hand in hand, but knowing that he is completely competent ranks higher than a dr with good bedside manner with no competence.

Dr Ferrari is a kind and caring individual. His office staff is very helpful and always making sure your doing well. The office staff also helped in all aspects of referrals and authorizations from the insurance. I did nothing as far as the insurance was concerned. The surgery went wonderfully and I had no complications of any kind. Aftercare was emphasized over and over by the doctor and his staff. If I had any questions they were all more than willing to help in any way they could. My overall rating of Dr Ferrari would be a 9 he is both competent and caring.
