An amazing team

I had gastric sleeve surgery almost 2 years ago. The experience to say the least was one of the best I have ever had. I have lost and maintained a weight loss of 90+ lbs and have never felt so good. Dr A and his team helped me get my life back and I cannot thank him enough. The care I received from him and his team was better than any health care I have ever received in the states. Their attention to detail and follow up was amazing and they truly made me feel like I was family. My mother came with me and was also blown away by the care and expertise given by Dr A and his team.

June 2018, I was miserable and decided to make a change in my life. My weight was the focal point! I heard many stories, flying to Tijuana Mexico to get the sleeve. BUT I am a surgery nurse and having complications and receiving medical help here in the USA is slim and not without a headache. Dr. Alvarez was a god-send! His state of the art hospital is 1 mile into Mexico via Eagle Pass. If I had any complications, I could come back and he would take care of me. There is a number to call and a nurse will take a message and Dr. Alvarez will call you back! The date was set and my life changed 100% thanks to Dr. Alvarez! The communication with the medical personnel and 6 physicians was amazing. Better than I have seen in the states EVER! 2 days after surgery we went to a spa for massages and facials.
Some say that he is more expensive, but that is the price you pay for excellence! He is always running specials, call Susan! I cannot say enough about this awesome man! Make the right decision, you will not be disappointed!

I was a patient of Dr Alvarez (Dr A) as his patients call him. I had a lap band in for several years which was put in at a hospital in the USA and didn’t function properly. Dr A took out my lap band and then 3 months later after healing, I went back to Dr A for my sleeve surgery. I have nothing but praise and good things to say about Dr A, his staff and his new hospital. He does a fantastic job and you are briefed ahead of time what to expect. I had my surgery about noon and was up and walking that same day at 4. There is very little pain and they make sure they minimize any discomfort. His hospital and staff are the best. They take care of you from start to finish. I weighed 405 pounds before surgery and lost 100 pounds the first 6 months. I am 1 1/2 years out and down 140 pounds. I feel great and can’t believe how easy it all was and how easy the weight comes off just because you are not eating as much. You feel better and look better. I would do this again in a second if I had to. Do not be nervous about going to Mexico for this surgery if you are going to Endobariatric with Dr Alvarez. He is a professional at this and know you are in the best hands.

Omg he the best you will ever find. He changed my life in so many ways. I could never repay him for my life back. I wished I could meet him one more time to give him the biggest hug and tell him thank you for my life. My health has even approved since my surgery on 3/19/2018. I no longer have health issues. Im no longer going for treatment on my knees and im no longer on medication. You are a angel from above. I have the most love for you

Simply put, I was terrified to have this or any surgery. It has now been almost two years since surgery and I can say I am truly glad I did. I have had zero problems, my health is supremely awesome, and my life is better because of it. I chose Dr. Alvarez because of his rating as a Master Surgeon, reviews from other people, and I had two other family members that were patients of Dr. Alvarez. Dr. A is a perfectionist and an athlete. That's who I want performing any type of surgery on me. Dr. A is approachable and has a system worked out to inform, educate, answer questions, and completely take care of the whole process for his patients. He has worked extremely hard perfecting his business, his craft, his skills, his facilities, his team, and the overall experience he provides his patients. I would consider no other surgeon besides Dr. Alvarez. You will be in the best of hands with him and his team. Now, go put your tool to work!

Dr. Alvarez is absolutely amazing as are his staff as well. This surgery was and still is life changing for me. If you are considering a gastric surgeon I would 1000% pick Dr. Alvarez over and over again. He has an outstanding bedside manner always available and his staff is amazing and very attentive to all your needs and concerns. I just can’t say enough about them all.

Oh my how this site has changed but my praises and appreciation have not. I have such a better quality of life now and caring for my sleeve means I am focused on taking care of me! I have the same restriction as from about 8 months out. No complications. I have named my sleeve Princess- she wants what she wants when she wants it and if she doesn't want it there is not a damn thing I can do about it so she runs my diet and makes me make good choices.

I was so skeptical! Going to Mexico for surgery was something I would’ve never done. But hopefully the next person that is iffy about going to this doctor will read this review and GO! BEST DECISION IVE EVER MADE!!! I had to go in secret because my family would not allow it. But the care I received while i was there was beyond amazing!!! There are challenges with weight loss surgery that everyone experiences and mine were knowing when I’m full and stopping. This amazing doctor gives you a tool that will help you reach your goals! Ask all the questions you need, but it is worth it! And you will be safe! ?? I hope I helped someone decide
