I recently had bariatric surgery and wanted to share my experience for anyone considering this journey. Making the decision was not easy, but it has truly been life-changing.

My surgeon ( Dr. Alvarez) and the team at Endohospital made me feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. They explained everything clearly and made sure I knew what to expect before and after surgery.

Recovery has had its challenges, especially adjusting to new eating habits, but I’m learning every day. This journey is just as mental as it is physical, and I’m still working through that.

Overall, I’m grateful I took this step and would encourage anyone considering it to do their research and be prepared for the lifestyle changes that come with it.

I wish I could give 10 stars to Dr. A and his amazing team of specialists. I have never been treated as well as I was from the moment I walked in the door at Endobariatric. You are the rockstar, the quiet hero, the one person they care about most of all... and they treat EVERY SINGLE PERSON the same way.

I started my journey at 292 pounds on Dec 1, 2025 and had my sleeve created on Dec 18, 2025 and as of this review I am now at 244.4 pounds and it is only March 18, 2026!

I feel like I have hit an internal reset button. I have so much energy and I am starting to become more and more active and I love life! I have a long way to go still but these first few steps are laying the ground work for a long and healthy journey.

I would not be where I am today without Dr. A and his staff. I love each and every one of them and they are now a permanent part of my life, my family!

My experince with Dr. Alvarez and his whole staff was 5 stars from start to finish. The support I recieved since I returned home has been first rate. Recieve a fast response to every email question and any other question. I would highly recommend Dr.Alverez to any one looking to have a gastric sleeve surgery. Whole facility is top notch from rooms to surgery and recovery rooms to transportion in and out of Mexico.

I had my gastric sleeve surgery with Dr. Guillermo Alvarez on August 11, 2025, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Everyone was professional, kind, and attentive—they made me feel safe, informed, and well cared for throughout the entire process.

After struggling to lose weight for so long, this has truly been my best investment and decision. The results and the overall experience exceeded all my expectations.

Hands down the best medical care and team ever. Dr Alvarez was absolutely amazing from start to finish with all my questions before and still now. I would recommend him hands down to anyone who needs assistance!

I cannot state this enough Dr. Alvarez is the best he was there to answer any and all questions I had he assured me that everything was going to be just fine and it was. I went in to this with not one bit of nervousness or fear. I highly highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having the gastric sleeve done. Just do it and get it over with you will not regret it. He is the best hands-down.

This has been one of the greatest accomplishments I have done in my life, I couldn’t have done it without Dr.A an incredible surgeon and person overall! This has been a long journey for me, from being at my heaviest , to loosing as much weight as I could to be even close to “healthy” enough for this surgery. I did my research for years and made a well thought out choice; All that work has paid off and the results are speaking for themselves. From booking my consultation to meeting Dr.A it was a breeze, prepping for surgery was a bit tough but to get great results you need to put the work in and I stuck to his pre op diet, even a bit before he told me to start. On surgery day he talked and cleared my mind with his kind words, everything was perfect and couldn’t have gone better. Recovery was almost too easy, I was up and walking within a few hours post op, even my scars have healed beautifully, nice and flat. Eating was something I needed to teach myself again, with the ebook I was emailed by Dr.A gave me the guidance I needed to keep myself going In the right direction. I have reached so many milestone since then and my life has changed for the better. I work out regularly and regained confidence within myself. If this is something you would consider, I’d say to go for it especially with Dr.A not only is he the best but very professional and caring. Full attention to each and every one of his patients, he loves what he does and with a passion. The Endohospital is so incredible and clean, it surpassed my expectations of a normal hospital. Choosing to have a mini gastric sleeve procedure is easily one of the best decisions and greatest gifts I've ever given myself. And selecting Dr. Alvarez and his team at Endobariatric to perform it was without a doubt the right choice for me. From the moment I reached out, the patient coordinator, Brandi, was an amazing source of information and reassurance. She was always quick to answer any questions and as a former patient, provided a wealth of knowledge around what to expect before, during and after the surgery. When my surgery date arrived, everything was seamless. I live in West Texas, so I drove in directly to the Endohospital and was warmly received by the staff. They helped me get settled in and take care of the last few medical forms and pre-op tasks. Dr. A personally stopped by my room, as well, to make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns. The next morning, I met with the team to go into surgery. Once the anesthesiologist did his thing, I don't remember a thing until waking up in my bed in the recovery suite. The gas pain from the surgery was ROUGH that first night (mostly in my left shoulder), but once I was out walking laps around the recovery floor it improved dramatically. The next morning, I moved back to the 'hotel' floor. I felt good enough to ride over to the Endospa and had a WONDERFUL massage, followed up by a long walk around an outdoor market before we came back. The entire experience was even better than I could've imagined. From sending the first email to learn more about the clinic and the procedure, to driving off after having it performed, I felt so at ease and confident that I was receiving the absolute best care. 3 months later, I'm down nearly 40 lbs and feel better than I have in years. I recommend Dr. A and the Endobariatric Team to anyone interested in a gastric sleeve!

I was a cash pay patient, so I could choose any surgeon I wanted, anywhere. After researching all my options close to home (Houston, TX area), and going to Mexico and the costs, I reached out to Dr. Alvarez. Brandi, my patient coordinator was and still is so kind and quick with responding to questions, she led me through everything I would need, what to expect, and how to get the best results. Once arriving at the Endo Hospital, my experience got even better! The hospital staff is so happy and helpful! They included my husband in everything. Then we met Dr. A! He truly cares about his patients and has dedicated his profession to Sleeve surgery. He met with me before surgery to walk me through the procedure, the anesthesiologist met with me before surgery, Dr. A met with me after surgery, in my hotel room and the day we left to go home. The experience was amazing! The hospital has a hotel and cafe in it, so my husband stayed with me and didn't have to leave to get meals. The hospital and hotel were so clean, and the food was amazing! The staff was overly accommodating and my nurse had also been a patient of Dr. A, so it was nice to talk with someone that knew the surgery beforehand. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. A and his wonderful staff and facility. I made the best choice for this surgery and 4 months after I am doing great! I feel like I have a new life.
