Dr. Adeyeri is an remarkable surgeon. He is not only very easy to talk to, but he ensures you know the entire process and is non-judgmental. I “chickened” out twice before going through with my procedure. I have young children and would always be afraid right before surrey. The entire team around him is outstanding. From nutrition (Julie), office (Mara), Patient support (Melissa), and even (Sara) with billing. He really cares about all of his patients and will do everything in his power to help you to succeed. Initially right after my surgery for gastric bypass, his staff kept reassuring that everything was going to go ok – even though I was very nervous. I’m here to report that I had no complications and over a half a year later, I’m down close to 90 lbs. (and still losing) I have absolutely no regrets. I have and would recommend Dr. Adeyeri to anyone who is considering weight loss surgery. His attention to detail and support is something you don’t find in other surgeons. He truly cares and prides himself as a doctor that is up to date on the latest procedures and science/studies. I can’t say enough about Dr. Adeyeri and his staff. It speaks a lot to see Dr. Adeyeri attend the support group - which lets you know he cares. Prior to the surgery, I was a scuba diver with limited capabilities. Now, I’m truly enjoying my sport and one day I will hopefully have the opportunity to go diving with him ( a little joke we had through the process)
If you stick with Dr. Adeyeri, you will be in good hands! I would recommend Dr. Adeyeri to any family member or even my children if they needed his help. Thank you Dr. Adeyeri! My life has changed for the better because of you!
Dr, Seun was caring and a great listener from my first visit, he did not try to talk me into any procedure that I did not come there for. great bed side manners and great personallity and that goes a long way, If you have any doubts about what procedure your are thinking of he will take his time with you, I am so glad I chose Dr seun.
Hi guys first time visitor here, but I really wanted to share my experience with Dr. Sowemimo. I am 22 yrs old, which I know for most of you sounds so young to be having surgery, but I have been heavy all my life and had tried literally everything to lose weight. I went to Dr. Seun because I knew I had to lose weight because I knew my luck of good health was going to run out. He walked me though the process and after my first meeting we both came to the decision that the sleeve would be the best option for me. Six months after that first meeting and after loads of support and advise I went under for the sleeve. I am not going to lie the first day or two sucked but I received first rate treatment and care from Doc and the entire staff. After a few days I was almost as good as knew. I just want to say thanks to Dr. Seun and this office for making this intimidating experience the best it could possibly be.
It's all about making choices....you can choose to continue down the road your on or you can take control over your life. I decided to take control with the help of Dr. Sowemimo. From the first visit to through surgery and follow-up Dr. Seun has been wonderful. The entire staff in fact helps to boost you through success. I am now at one year and I feel great. My success has allowed me to get back to life as I once knew it and to inspire others to take steps to improve their lives. The tools that I have been given (surgery, support and follow-up visits) are the key to my success. Dr. Seun is the foundation and the relationships he builds with his patients are solid and unwavering. I wish he could be my one and only doctor, that would be a dream come true.
I have never been happier with a doctor in my entire life. From our very first appointment I felt comfortable and able to talk to him about anything. The surgery was as expected and his follow-up in hospital was really nice. He is a very busy man and I was pleased with the time taken with each visit. I can't wait to see the new me as the months go by. With Dr. Seun's help we have saved my life I'm sure. If you have doubts, or are just looking to find out more, attend one of his seminars and you won't look back. Update 4/10/13 in 3 months I am down just shy of 60 lbs and doing great. I have so much more energy and am just so much happier. With the support of Dr. Seun and his team I am doing great.
I have to say this has been the best experience of my new life! Dr. Sowemino and his office staff don't forget Julie the nutristionist, are AWESOME! They all are helpful with whatever your needs maybe. I've never been sick a day since I've had my sleeve done in Oct. I feel amazing and starting to look it. thank you to the amazing Dr. Sowemino and his staff to hold my hand thru my new life. I will extremely recommend Dr. Sowemino if you are considering bariatric surgery!
I am still ecstatic about the positive life changes resulting from my decision to have bariatric surgery (Gastric Sleeve). I reached a plateau 6 months after surgery that lasted 5 months. I was discouraged that I had not reached my goal 12 months after surgery, but was still able to maintain the weight lost; fluctuating within 5 lbs. Then after a week of increased movement, I noticed the plateau resolved and I am now back on track with daily weight loss of 1-2 lbs. Lesson learned: Exercise must be a priority and increase with time to achieve my ultimate weight loss goal.
I was offended when I was not notified of the cancellation of my first Weight Loss information session for which I had preregistered. I did not expect a reply to the email I sent expressing my thoughts. And I decided to consider this omen as an excuse to exclude surgery as a weight loss option. But, to my surprise, Dr. Sowemimo sent a personal response that empathized with the frustration of my situation. I am so happy that I decided to meet and discuss my weight loss options with him.
During each conversation Dr. Sowemimo gives his full attention to answering all of my questions in detail and ensuring I fully understand. He demonstrates true concern for my health. His bedside manner is comforting and I feel very safe in his care. The Prime Surgicare staff are patient and supportive each and every time I call or visit the office. They ensure I understand all the procedures and instructions and assisted me with getting my referrals.
I have lost a significant amount of weight in the 6 weeks since my December 2012 surgery. The most exciting skill that has been restored is my ability to cross my legs painlessly to put on my socks and tie my shoes without holding my breath. I did not realize just how distressing my quality of life had become related to my obesity. And now my moans and groans of pain have been replaced with shouts of "Hallelujah" several times each day.
It will be a while before I can fully achieve my weight loss goals. But, I am off to an exciting and encouraging start. The task of making healthy eating choices is still challenging, but getting easier every day thanks to the Gastric Sleeve, my mirror image and the support of Doctor Sowemimo, his staff and my family.
dr. sowemimo is very personal with you and really cares that you are making the right choice for yourself. I had my operation 5 months ago and I have lost 53 pounds so far. I still have some weight to lose, but I am feeling great. I wish I had done this years ago because I am like a different person now. I had the sleeve done and I would refer anybody that is interested in having this procedure done to see Dr. Sowemimo.
If asked a year ago that I would be where I'm at today, I would not have believed it to be possible! My first visit with Dr. Seun was on March 1, 2013. He was gentle yet direct & very patient with my ignorance, answering all questions leaving me with much information as options. After a bit more research & attending seminars, I was assured gastric bypass would definitely be a benefit to my health situation. From there I went forward with all the necessary pre-op requirements and finally had my scheduled surgery on June 24, 2013. Today at my 6 month post-op visit, I am now off all insulins & oral meds for the diabetes (with morning readings now below 100). In fact my other meds list has been cut in half. I'm also a 126 lbs less. I now look forward to living life "off" the couch, walking, yes even in this brisk weather, am starting a muscle strengthening routine, & feel like a new person. I will be honest & tell you the road was a bit rough at times, but oh my so well worth it! I am humbled at the place I stand today. I am a person of faith & am so very thankful for this new chance I've been given at life. God has been so good to me to have put a gifted doctor in my path, one of integrity, one of such compassion for the trials & comorbities of the over-weight community. I live my life with much appreciation & gratitude to this wonderful doctor & my Lord! Thank you so much Dr Seun :)
Dr. Adeyeri is an amazing physician. In February 2012, I had Lap Band surgery by another physician, and was having problems, and they would not help me. So I came onto Obesityhelp.com and found Dr. Adeyeri. I made an appointment, and it changed my life!
He helped me with not only fixing the problem with the Lap Band, but helped me decide that Lap band was not going to help me be a better person and healthier on top of that.
He explained all the procedures, pro's and con's. He gave me his professional opinion and helped me understand and make the decision for a revision surgery (band to bypass.)
The office staff is great too! Friendly, and so encouraging. Each member plays an important role in this whole experience. From calling to become a patient, to calling after surgery because I have a question. The hospital staff at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, was amazing.
I would rate Dr. Adeyeri as a top physician in the country!

Just had my surgery. I feel great and already dropped 30lbs. I'm very happy with
Dr. Seun and his staff. Anything I need I call the office and they are ready to help. It's the best thing I've done for myself, couldn't be happier. I tell all my friends about Dr. Seun. Thanks to Joan who helped me get through the paperwork and being so helpful and pleasant all the time, even after all my questions. Thanks again to Dr. Seun!
