ALO Bariatrics is a specialized bariatric and metabolic surgery program in Mexico, providing advanced weight loss surgery for patients from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and around the world.

Led by Dr. Alejandro López, a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon with more than 20 years of surgical experience, ALO Bariatrics combines advanced surgical techniques with personalized care, patient education, nutritional guidance, and long-term follow-up.

Dr. López is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), and is certified in robotic surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System.

Our philosophy goes beyond helping patients lose weight. Obesity is a complex chronic disease, and bariatric surgery can be a powerful tool for improving metabolic health, mobility, quality of life, and obesity-related medical conditions.

ALO Bariatrics also has extensive experience evaluating patients who have previously undergone bariatric surgery and are experiencing inadequate weight loss, weight regain, reflux, or other complications.

Revision options may include conversion from gastric band to sleeve or bypass, sleeve to gastric bypass, SADI-S, Duodenal Switch or OAGB, as well as revision of a previous gastric bypass when medically appropriate.

Our goal is to recommend the procedure that makes the most sense for each individual patient—not simply the same operation for everyone.
