They go down easy and don't repeat on me at all. My Dr. recommends taking 2 in the am and 2 in the late afternoon...far less than what the manufacturer recommends...I follow my Dr.'s advice and my blood work came back EXCELLENT !! SO..I guess they work just fine!!
(indicates that they have used the product)Vita4Life saved my life! I had to have a lot of grams of protein a day and wasn't getting them. I couldn't stand the feel of most of the protein shakes in my mouth. They would touch my lips and I would start gagging, it was horrible. Then I found Vita4Life! Each 2 oz liquid contains 30 grams of protein and I mix 1/2 cup orange juice and 1/2 cup water and the Liquid Protein and I am set to go. They have just come out with two new flavors to go with the popular orange dreamsicle and honey. You should try it!!
(indicates that they have used the product)They have changed the formula for their vitamins...I have had my first poor labs after being on them for 6 months...I know company's can't make a vitamin for everyone so I recommend you try different company's and work with your surgeon as to what he/she might want you to take...I think the value is a little expensive if your having to take 12 of their vitamins a day...There are other brands out their with the same quality and much cheaper...
(indicates that they have used the product)They have changed their formula to include Vitamin D and boron...I am looking for a pure calcium since I already take a multi vitamins that contains Vit D I don't feel I need to take over the recommended daily dose of Vit D...I also recommend always checking with your surgeon and primary care physican as to whether they want you takeing boron or the extra Vit D since this is now in their Calcium
(indicates that they have used the product)60 packages lasts for 2 months (1 pack per day) and it's cheaper to buy multiple months at a time.
V4L is really useful in that all vitamins you need are in 1 pill, so you don't have to figure out when to take 5 different types of pills!
The only negative is that they've been redesigned more for RNY patients and DS patients need a little more than what they have. I don't need B12, but it's chock full of it. I need more iron and there's very little in there. So I still have to take additional iron supplementation.
Also, a DS patient should ALWAYS take all 12 pills every day - regardless of how much weight you are losing. The instructions on the can do not really apply to DS patients.
