This is a soy protein, so you can add a scoop to sugar free jello pudding to add protein to your diet. It doesn't change the consistency of the pudding like whey protein does. I like it because it doesn't have an aftertaste. The chocolate does contain 7 gm sugar, but they have a "Simply Natural" one that has no flavor and no sugar that can be added to any liquid. You don't need ice and a blender, but I prefer the consistency of a shake.
