These contain mostly collagen protein, which is made from boiled skin and hooves of cows. It's a very poor source of protein because it does not have all the amino acids. Therefore you would get very little protein from this product. Waste of money. Might as well drink eat some Jello - you'd get about as much protein, it's cheaper and probably tastes better.
(indicates that they have used the product)Personally I hate the taste of protein drinks and the calorie/protein gram ratio of most protein bars doesn't impress me either. However this is the best thing I've found to supplement my protein by far!!
For ~$27.00 you get a pack of 12, 3.1 oz vials of concentrated liquid protein. They come in fruit punch, grape, and orange flavors. There are 2 grams of carbs, 0 grams of sugar, only 176 calories (compared to 200+ with most protein bars), it's only 3.1 ounces in the entire thing which means you can take it down in three small sips.
Best of all it has 42 grams of protein in each vial!!!! I usually take only one sip at a time and spread it out over the course of the day to maximize my protein absorption since it is so concentrated. Also, it doesn't need to be refrigerated ever (even after it's been opened), which makes it great to throw in a backpack, briefcase, or pocketbook.
