Emerson Hospital Hospital

This was the best Hospital I ever stayed in.

Even though I was in overnight only, I felt like I had the best care. Emerson is a training hospital, and I was lucky enough to have a nurse in training who waited on me hand and foot if I desired anything. All other staff members were respectful and friendly.

I had exceptional care while I spent my first day in ICU, my 2nd day I spent on the general floor and the care left a little to be desired.

My room was directly behind the nurses' station and extremely noisy. Stage I really sucked at this hospital. I was given two cups of broth at each meal. The menu stated chicken or beef. You could not tell the difference by taste. They had to be boullion cubes. I asked the nurse if I could use my herbal lemon tea bag instead of the "caffeinated" tea bag they sent. She said that I was not allowed to have anything other than what was on the tray. I mentioned the awful broth to my doctor. She said I could have had my homemade broth brought in.

They are an excellant hospital and the staff are great, very nice even in radiology and the labs, every single department I had to deal with pre-surgery, were great and caring.

The nursing staff is particularly good, I found.

Excellent bariatric surgery staff and staff in hospital. The whole experience was very positive and I would highly recommend this program
