Alexander Pictor is a registered dietitian for the University of Maryland Center for Weight Management. While new to the University of Maryland team, Alex has spent the last six years helping patients manage their weight including through behavioral coaching, teaching group classes, health behavior change research and in weight management clinics.
Alex received his Masters of Science in Public Health, focusing on human nutrition, from Johns Hopkins. Prior to that, he completed his undergraduate studies in psychology at Northwestern University and holds a certificate of the culinary arts in professional cookery from Kendall College. Alex has a passion for food and nutrition and his interests include obesity and weight management, diabetes care, exercise therapy, health behavior change and promoting preventive health through technology.
