Dr. Mark Pozsgay, Bariatric Surgeon Mark Pozsgay, DO, FASMBS is a board-certified bariatric surgeon and is the Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Program at Summa Health Weight Management Institute in Northeast Ohio. He earned his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency and internship at the Summa Health System. He moved on to complete a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery at UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is fluent in English, French, and Hungarian. Dr. Pozsgay is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He has authored and co-authored several abstracts, oral presentations, and is active in research projects related to the field of obesity and bariatric surgery.
