Louis Balsama Bariatric Surgeon DO, FACS

Louis Balsama, DO, FACS, is a highly experienced bariatric surgeon helping people lose weight and improve their quality of life at Virtua’s Complete Weight Management Program. A graduate of the UMDNJ/Rowan-School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Balsama completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospitals and his general surgery residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Dr. Balsama previously served as chairman of surgery and general surgery residency director at UMDNJ/Rowan-SOM. Dr. Balsama has lectured and presented research at conferences across the region. Outside of medicine, Dr. Balsama competes in marathons, plays guitar, and sings. Patients consistently express high regard for Dr. Balsama, highlighting his compassionate and professional approach.
