Dr. Samuel Wasser, Bariatric Surgeon Samuel Wasser, MD is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon practicing at Virtua Surgical Group in Moorestown and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He attended George Washington University where he received his bachelor’s degree and went on to attend to earn his medical degree from George Washington School of Medicine in Washington, DC. His surgical residencies were completed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Morristown Memorial Hospital. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Wasser previously served as the chief of the section of vascular non-invasive diagnostic laboratory at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County and also as the director of the peripheral vascular noninvasive diagnostic laboratory when he served there. Dr. Wasser is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). He is a member of the American Medical Association, the New Jersey Medical Society, the Vascular Society of New Jersey, and the Eastern Vascular Society.
