I'm about 5 yrs out, and I have to say I'm very disappointed in his team. I did great first 3 yrs. I was able to run 5k races, even a couple OCR's. Then I fractured my foot. Not wanting to gain weight back, I tried running on it off and on, which caused my recovery time to be about 6 mo. The very next yr (2017) I went to Dr. Parodi's office for my yearly check up. I was seen by Joanne. At this point I had gained about 30 lbs back. I complained to her that my hip (singular) was very painful. In a nutshell, I was told it was because I gained my weight back. Schedule appt with nutritionist and be more active. I canceled that appt. I know what I needed to do. I simply couldn't. Ended up scheduling appt with an Orthopedic surgeon who scheduled an MRI. Turns out I had a sacral fracture on my right side. I love to run, I love being active. However, I'm sitting here frustrated and angry. I did all the work, I tasted the freedom to do what I love. Now I'm back to square one. Not only that, I wasn't listened to. It was assumed I was just being lazy. Dr. Parodi himself was a great Dr. but I feel he should maybe see his patients periodically after 1 yr out of surgery.
He is a wonderful, caring surgeon. He is very concerned about you, as a person, as well as providing you with the best result possible from your surgery. Very easy to talk to and very skilled. I would highly recommend him!
OMGosh! This team is just absolutely TERRIFIC! I was scared to death about this procedure and I was put to ease immediately! I love my Nutritionist, my nurses and most of all, Dr.Parodi. They all showed genuine care and concern for my needs. I wasn't going through a very good time during my initial appointments and their care and concern for not only my physical health but my emotional health as well was exceptional.
I have recommended 4 people to this team and 1 is going through with it. I am so grateful for the new life they have given me!
