    Dr. Thomas Borland is a board certified general surgeon, fellow of The American College of Surgeons, and member of The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery who has been providing bariatric surgery since 1982.  He has practiced surgery in New Iberia, Louisiana for 29 years.  He is a member of the active staff at both New Iberia Surgery Center and Dauterive Hospital and is Chief of Surgery at Iberia Medical Center.  Dr. Borland enjoys the livelihood of this area and maintains a personal relationship with his patients locally as well as with his patients willing to travel from other locations in the United States.
