Nathan Tomita Bariatric Surgeon D.O.

The first time I met Dr. Nathan Tomita was at a seminar he held in Owosso, MI at Memorial Healthcare. He went over very thourghly what the surgery was about and answered any question you had. My impression with him was first class. He knew what he was talking about from the get go. At the same seminar I met his nurse Sandy Bulemore, who is the Dr's backbone. She has gone out of her way to help not just me but everyone that has had this type of surgery and if you come up with any problem during the "waiting period" she will find a way to help you in any way possible and the same is true for Dr. Tomita. If you live in this area and are tossing the thought around to having this surgery, please give his office a call. Trust me you will be very pleased and all your questions will be answered. Since my surgery in March of 2005 my aftercare with Dr and his staff has been wonderful. They have been very impressed with my recovery and my weight loss. I attend a support group once a month which is very important for everyone to attend because we all talk on on one and share our success stories. Another important thing that Dr Tomita and his staff request is that you join an exercise program and stick with it. Right now I work out twice a week at Memorial Healthcare Fitness Gym and really enjoy going there. The staff there must have been trained by Dr. Tomita, as they too are sensitive to your needs....You are probably wondering if the Doctor mentions anything about the risks of surgery and the answer to that is YES..what Doctor wouldn't. He had told me not just at the seminar, but also at the times I had scheduled appointments with him. He has to make sure that you thourghly understand some of the risks involved in this surgery. Overall I would rate Dr Tomita and his wonderful staff a 10 with a gold star..his surgical comptence and bedside manner is #1.. Go ahead and call him
