Natasha Pereira-Hong Bariatric Surgeon

I had Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass on June 17th, I couldn't have had a better physician. Dr. Pereira-Hong answered all my questions and was very thorough ensuring I was ready for surgery. THANK YOU so much for giving me a new beginning at 50 !

I was thrilled with the care and concern that Dr. Pereira-Hong showed me on the four occasions that I spoke with her. During the initial meet the surgeon appointment, she treated me with respect and answered all of my questions in a compassionate manner.
Pre and post op visits were in the same manner and she listened to my requests as well. I had no pain and asked not to be administered any Tylenol and that request was respected. The pump was left on for in case I over did it or felt pain later on.
My 7/8 month post op visit was again conducted in a positive/caring and empathetic manner. I no longer need to see her but if complications arise such as hernia/ulcers I will of course be asking if she would be the attending. I would recommend her as a surgeon for this or any other procedure.
Oh right, I should tell you that I had the RNY and am two years post op and feeling terrific.

Not only has DR. Pereira-Hong done my bypass but I personally have had several complications post op. All of which Dr.Pereira-Hong has taken care of. She has taken care of every situation that has arose, both incredibly professionally and is genuinely considerate of her patients. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. She is caring, considerate, thoughtful and incredibly educated. Her confidence is reassuring, and her bedside manner is impeccable. If you are lucky enough to have Dr. Pereira-Hong be your surgeon, don't think for a minute it ends on your surgery date, you have a skilled surgeon on your side for life!!

Amazing person and surgeon. Anyone who has Dr Pereira-Hong for surgery is definatley in very good hands!

Dr. Natasha Pereira-Hong was my surgeon for my RNY at Guelph General. She answered all my questions and put me at ease before during and after the surgery. I had no pain issues after the surgery and attribute this to Dr. Pereira-Hong and the surgical team. The care that I received afterwards was great. Dr. Pereira-Hong is a caring and compassionate surgeon willing to discuss any and all aspects of your surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Pereira-Hong to anyone who is considering this surgery.

Dr Pereira-Hong is so awesome, she’s approachable, gentle and will listen to all your concerns and address them accordingly. I could not have asked for a better experience at the Guelph hospital. The only comment in a negative way was that after the surgery until I was discharged, I was given full sugar jello (75ml) and full sugar apple juice (75ml) and as post RNY I mentioned that it should be low sugar items. Apparently they are trying to change it, but so far they haven’t….

She is a fantastic Surgeon. I was glad to have her as my surgeon and her follow up is also fantastic. She is a 10 out of 10 in my books. If you get her as your surgeon you will be amazed at how great she is and how much time and care she has and spends on her patients plus she uses stitches instead of staples so they heal nicer. Her bedside manner is great and I am so please with my results. I had no complications at all.
