My surgery was on February 20, 2016. The Family Hospital was outstanding! They picked me up in San Diego and practically did everything for me during my entire experience. The whole process took 3 nights which was perfect because I needed to come back with my kids. Although I probably could have come back after 2 nights. It was pretty easy all the way through, they really made me feel very comfortable at all levels. Highly recomended. Hospital looks brand new but i think its around 15 years old. Dr Sarinana was excellent in explaining me how the process would go during the surgery and after the surgery they showed me a picture of my stomach! It was pretty cool! Looked like a nasty pinkish tube to me but they said it was pretty large. After the surgery I followed the diet plan provided. I noticed the weight loss and the fact that I was eating a lot less right away. Now it's about 3 months and so far I'm close to 50 lbs lost. I am doing a bit more excercise now as at the beginning it was not easy, I would get low energy fairly easy but it's getting better every day. I did notice a bit of reflux at the beggining specially when I was eating larger portions but Carlo has been always available to answer all my questions and helpful enough to schedule a call with Dr Sarinana during my recovery. Overall I am very very satisfied the weight loss program at the Family Hospital is definately worth it I would reccomend it anytime!

My name is Rachelle Mendoza and I had surgery with Dr Sarinana in January 12 2016. I was a little reluctant to reccomend any doctor at first because I wanted to make sure I got the results and the service that was expected. After 4 months I've lost 50 lbs already. Dr Sarinana is amazing. Everyone was very kind and I can not be happier with the way everyone delivered there services and the results that I see right now in me. This morning after I promised Carlo I would share my experience, I weighted 147 lbs. 4 months ago I weighted 208, so I've lost exactly 61 lbs in 4 months, so far! I think the hardest part of this process is before the surgery not knowing what will happen. I ca not believe why I took so long to get this surgery I highly reccomend you to consider the family hospital and Dr sarinana for this particular experience. You wont regret it.

Hello. My name is Mitchelle Graham and I live in California. I want to take a moment to share with everyone a little bit of what I just had done in the Family Hospital in Mexicali Mexico. I have been suffering from being overweight for over 20 years now. I tried everything, diets, more diets, diet and excercise, pills, therapy, you name it. Nothing worked for me. It worked a little bit, but it was hard to follow through. It's not easy. I seriously thought I would never have the courage to try weight loss surgery. I continued to try my own new strategies as to how to loose weight but everytime I would loose 15 lbs somehow very quickly I would gain them back. Honestly it was a very stressful time of my life. At first i was interested in the lap band because Id heard so much of it. What I was not aware at the beggining was the fact that you need to do fills every 3 months in order for it to work properly. I did not like that about the lap band quite frankly. I ended up searching more about the gastric sleeve and luckily I found the Family Hospital in Mexicali Mexico. I was very fortunate for them to help me through the process. Carlo was very helpful and patient. It's been now 8 months since I had the surgery and I have lost over 70 lbs!! I can not believe how fast and how effective this surgery can change your life! I honestly reccomend this as the best experience and the best decision I have ever had in my entire life. I just went back to the same hospital do get my tubes reversed as I want to have another baby. Yet again the hospital did a fantastic job in taking care of me. This is a great place for you to get surgery as it is very affordable, very clean, and its right next to the US border. First impression was of a professional doctor, but as I saw him more often, he did really care and understand what an impirtan decision this is for someone like me. He was caring and professional and HUMAN!! Rarely see that in a doctor now. Surgery went fast and well, love the pain meds he gave me, the staff was lovely!! Made 5 new facebooks friends! And so professional... Super clean hospital, staff, room! I felt more like a hotel than in a hospital. Scars minimal! So 3 weeks and 22 pounds later Im so grateful to Marco Sarinana and his staff!! Hope to loose more pounds soon :)

I would like to thank Everyone at Hospital de la Familia in particular Dr Marco Sarinana for the amazing service and hospitality I recieved during my stay. It has now been 6 months and I have lost over 90 lbs after my Gastric Sleeve surgery. Words can not put how estatic I feel after loosing all this weight and how incredible I feel. The Family Hospital was the perfect place to get this done for me as it is very close to my home in San Diego and was very well coordinated by Carlo Bonfante and his medical tourism team. Thank you Luis for picking me up from my home and assisting me throught this process. My experience with Dr Sarinana was incredible! He was a fantastic doctor that showed me the best possible care I could get. I am very thankful to Carlo Bonfante for coordinating the surgery and being very honest about what to expect. The family hospital was immaculated and being right next to the border crossing made me feel I never left home. I highly recommend Dr Sarinana and the family hospital for anyone who is concern about having gastric sleeve surgery abroad. It's only been 1 month and I already lost 20 lbs, very excited about what's next for me.

I had ds switch performed at Hospital de la mujer in Mexicali. Dr. Sarinana performed it. Intiallly went with a lot of reservations. Quickly changed my mind. He is an awesome doctor with a great bedside manner. He took wonderful care of me. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
