Dr. Kathrina Morgan is my awsome gardian "ANGEL" (RNY Surgeon). She quickly learned what I wanted and she knew what she needed to do to get me where I wanted to be. She and her outstanding team took great care of me and assisted me through the whole surgery from Pre to Post OP and their after Op care was awsome. Then nine months after surgery, when I experianced a slight surgerical complication of an Intestinal Herna, Dr. Morgan quickly diagnosed and corrcted a possible life threatening situation. She and her team still provide the same exceptional service and care over two years later as they provided the day of my surgery. Thanks to Dr. Morgan and her team, I feel great now after reaching my goal of 135 Lbs. and if I may be so bold to say, I think I look pretty darn good too!!!!
Dr. Katherine Morgan has been OUTSTANDING from beginning to end. Her staff at MUSC are wonderful too. Her PA, Diana has been the most helpful throughtout all of this. She's so sweet, friendly and makes you feel at ease. She is EXTREMELY knowledgable regarding gastric bypass and everything that encompasses it. I couldn't have asked for a better team. They have given me a second chance at life. How great that is.
Dr. Morgan, Diana and team.......THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. You have given me the world.
THanks,
Melissa F
I met Dr.Morgan and her staff yesterday I was surprised,EVERYONE was really nice. I especially liked her nurse she was very informative and super nice. I was really nervous until I talked to her, I guess she is the Ice Breaker. When Dr.Morgan came in I was again surprised at the confidence that she brought to the room. She explained everything to me and I did not feel rushed at all.
Dr. Katherine Morgan will be my surgeon. I've heard great things about her. I have met her, following the Risks and Benefits lecture back in October 06, but it was a brief meeting. She is young, it's true...and I did go there assuming that Dr. Byrne would be my surgeon (as I was aquainted with a couple of his patients)...so it set me back a bit to learn that they intended another surgeon to handle my case. While it was a brief discussion with Dr. Morgan, I was impressed with her professionalism and compassion. They were packed that day in the clinic...racing from one patient to another. But Dr. Morgan and her staff gave me as much time as I needed, and I appreciated that. In addition, I feel she was instrumental in getting my surgery approved through BCBC of Illinois when she worked to facilitate a peer-to-peer review with the BCBS physician-reviewer. I go for my pre-op on March 1st and surgery on March 5th, so I'll be able to add more about aftercare and overall rating after that point.rn
If my insurance is approved, Dr. Morgan will be my surgeon. She was clinical (i.e., direct, no sugar coating, etc.) but down to earth and very nice. I felt very comfortable with her and although our meeting lasted about 15 minutes I feel like she cares about my health and my life after surgery. The whole staff at MUSC have been super! Even the patients in the waiting room were nice and fun to talk to. So far this has been a great experience and I can hardly wait to see what happens next (hopefully it will be good news from the insurance company).
