John Zografakis Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FASMBS

Dr. John Zografakis, Bariatric Surgeon John G. Zografakis, MD, FACS, FASMBS is the Director of the Summa Health Bariatric Care Center, the Summa Health Advanced Laparoscopic Surgical Services, and the Summa Health Minimally Invasive Fellowship program. He earned his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the Summa Health System. He is fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgery procedures from the NorthShore Evanston Hospital. Dr. Zografakis is a board-certified surgeon that specializes in minimally invasive bariatric and general surgery at the Summa Health System Akron Campus which is an accredited comprehensive center through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM). He is a member of American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and a designated ASMBS Center of Excellence surgeon.
