Hugh Houston Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr. Houston was the surgeon at the seminar I attended in May of this year. I liked Dr. Houston because he was straight forward with the procedures he covered at the seminar and how important it was to follow the steps to be successful. The staff at his office is great and are very helpful. For future patients all I can say is Dr. Houston knows what he's doing and if I had it to do all over again I wouldn't change anything. Aftercare is very important and Dr. Houston and his team are there for you to help you succeed. Dr. Houston covered all the risks of the gastric bypass with myself and my husband. After my husband met and spoke with Dr. Houston he felt more at ease about the procedure.

Dr. Houston was absolutely great. Wonderful program really knows his stuff. VERY impressed. Surgery went perfect, no issues at all. Highly recommended.

Dr. Houston is great. Upon first meeting him I could tell that he really knew his stuff and that thought did not change as time went on. His staff is amazing and really care for their patients. I first met Dr. Houston at the seminar, he seemed very prepared and knowledgeable about bariatric surgery. Very humorous at times too. I reviewed his stats on line prior to making a decision about surgery regarding the number of surgeries and types he performed as well as his statistics regarding outcomes. He clearly communicated the risks of surgery and seemed genuinely interested in helping me lose weight.

I am very glad to have chosen Dr. Houston to perform my lap band procedure. As I have spoken to others, including healthcare professionals who work or have worked directly with him, I have heard nothing but positive feedback about his care for his patients and his professionalism. My experiences with him so far have been great from my initial consultation to my first follow up appointment. He was very accessible to me and my family on the day of the surgery including talking with my mother before and after the procedure and checking in with me twice before I was discharged the same day. I wholeheartedly reccommend him and the CMC weight loss surgery program to anyone who is considering a bariatric surgery.

I had my initial surgical consult with Dr. Houston on June 19, 2008. I found him to be a very pleasant individual. He took the time with me to go over different options of WLS. We decided that Gastric Bypass would be the best for me. He discussed with me the risks and benefits of surgery. He stressed the importance of this surgery being a lifelong commitment. We also discussed the importance of pre op as well as post op support and aftercare. He seemed very competent. I could tell he genuinely cares for his patients. rnrnMy initial opinion of Dr Houston was confirmed after my surgery. I was operated on 7/14/08. The surgery went really well. I could not have expected anything more from a surgeon. Following the surgery Dr Houston checked on me twice a day while I was in the hospital. He was very helpful in answering my questions and preparing me for my discharge to home. I was discharged on 7/17/08. I have nothing but good feeling towards Dr Houston and the treatment and care I received from the staff at Centennial Medical Center.

Doctor Houston's stats where the big draw for me. I met with several CCTO patients before I made up my mind on a Hospital & Doctor, Most of them recomended CMC & Doctor Houston. The aftercare program was/is the best I have seen, follow up is a key to this tool that I have received from Houston. Two thumbs up for CCTO & Dr. Houston.

I am new and had my surgeon consult with Dr. Houston on June 19. I was very much impressed with the information I received at the consult. I wasn't sure going in if I was having the lap band or RNY and Dr. Houston guided me with information to make my own decision. I appreciated his input. He was nice and you felt comfortable with him immediately. On July 1, I complete my 6 month supervised diet for insurance.

Dr. Houston is a wonderful and caring surgeon. I didn't have any complications. His office staff is wonderful also. I really felt that he cared. When I got home from the hospital after having my lap-band surgery, I had a question after hours. He called me back quickly, and answered it. I had my surgery on Feb. 11th, and have been great. He's a great surgeon.
