Dr. Alvarez and his staff are great. Everyone is attentive, efficient, and friendly. I had my surgery 2 days ago, and they’ve held my hand through it all. Definitely recommend.

My daughter had the surgery a year ago, I went with her because as a registered nurse of 36 yrs I wanted to be sure that she had the best. I was so impressed with her care and the Endobariatric team that 9 months later I had the surgery myself. I knew my case would be more complicated because of past surgeries and the build up of scar tissue. Dr. Alvarez and his team didn't disappoint me. Even though it took longer he was successful. I have never had such a smooth surgery in my life and was up and walking very soon afterwards. I can say that in all my years as a nurse I have never been to a cleaner hospital, a more professional staff, that care for you better than family. If I could give Dr Alvarez and the whole Endo Team more than 5 stars I would give them 100. I highly recommend them to anyone who wishes to receive the best outcomes from the best surgeon. Dr. Alvarez takes care of everything absolutely everything you want for nothing. His staff is amazing they're PHENOMENAL they're doing EVERYTHING RIGHT! He is so humble down to earth willing to talk to you joke around with you always smiling just super PHENOMENAL guy! The surgery I had went off without a hitch. I won the largest stomach of the day award. Seriously, if you're considering having VSG surgery there's no one better to do it then Dr. Alvarez. The service you get is exceptional it's far above anything you would get in the US. The care and concern they take in everything all the way down to the details of the paint on the walls. Amazing experience! I am a RN and the care I received was better than any care I’ve received in the US. The staff is so professional and friendly. The surgeons checked on me constantly. Dr. Alvarez is approachable, available and so kind and friendly and knowledgeable. By the time my husband left the facility, we felt like we were leaving friends and family behind. There’s no waiting long for a nurse to come once you call—they are right there within moments, which is really comforting and nice when you’re in pain and nauseated. The facility is 5 star, and just absolutely beautiful. It’s gated and there’s a shuttle to take you to and from the facility if you want to do a little exploring around the city. We felt more like we were on vacation than anything. The hotel and the hospital and the hospital rooms are all in the same building, so you never have to leave. Post op I’m doing very well! Dr A messages us weekly to guide us and check in. He’s always available when I’ve needed or wanted to contact him with questions post op. I had very little pain and very little nausea, but what little I had was taken care of promptly. I’ve been healing great, getting along great and so far I’ve lost 42 lb since starting my preop diet on 4/15. I lost 20 lb before surgery and 22 lb since surgery. I would do this again and again!!! Don’t think, just do it!!

absolute great guy and surgeon. he completely cares about his patients pre and post op. everything from how you are getting to his facility to how you are treated once you are there. how comfortable and knowledgeable you are about the upcoming procedure both pre and post op. he shows you what to expect every step of the way even after you’ve left his facility. he is just a down right genuine guy who loves what he does and who truly cares about his patients and it shows in ask of his interactions. His staff mirrors his leadership. they are all very kind and professional.

On my way back from three days at the Endohospital with Dr. Alvarez and I could not be happier with my decision. As all of the reviews say, he and his staff are world class.
