Gary Katz Bariatric Surgeon D.O.

Dr Gary Katz is a wonderful person. He has been great the entire time we have been dealing with him on my husbands surgery. I dont see any changes in my opinion with him durring my process.

Looking forward to having Dr. Katz do this for me. He is kind and he tells all about the pros & cons and he makes sure all questions are answered. He feels that there is no such thing as a dumb question. The staff is just as wonderful. I am having surgery 9-10-08, and looking forward to my new life.

Just want to let everyone know how wonderful Dr. Katz is. He is just so friendly. Helps to answer any questions no matter what they are. Very personable Doctor. We all know we need more of those kind of Doctors. The office stafff are all wonderful. They always answer all your questions with no problems. I really appreciate them all. I would rate Dr. Katz a 10++

I only met with Dr. Katz once for a consultation appointment and found him very nice and informative. He went over all the risks of surgery and drew pictures to help me understand the surgery. My insurance required me to wait a year for the surgery, so I never had any contact with him again until the day of surgery. His staff is great! Everyone there was friendly, supportive and helpful. I felt I knew them all quite well after attending appointments for a year. rnThe day of the surgery Dr. Katz came in to talk to me and was very supportive and warm. He coutinued to be very helpful, giving me his pager number for any questions or problems I might have after I got home. His bedside manner and surgical competence where both great and I would recommend him to any future patients.

I've only met with Dr. Katz twice, an informational seminar and then a consultation. He has a calm and friendly demeanor and is glad to answer any questions. Open and honest about the surgery, risks and life changes. I met with most of his staff as well, who are equally friendly and supportive. Their case manager has been following my progress with my PCP and other physicians over the past 6 months. I plan to continue to stay with Dr. Katz for my surgery.

IT ALL STARTED WITH THE FIRST PHONE CALL AFTER SEEING THE AD ON TV. THEY WERE SO HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. WHEN I WENT TO INTERVIEW W/ DR KATZ MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS PROFESSIONAL AND VERY VERY FRIENDLY. I MET WITH A NURSE, NUTRITIONIST AND THE DOCTOR. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL WITH INFO ON THE SURGERY, WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER AND THE NUTRITIONAL INFO I NEEDED TO KNOW. THEY ALSO TOOK CARE OF ALL THE INSURANCE INFO.
THE YEAR BEFORE I WAS WORKING W/ ANOTHER DR. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS A BAD 7 MONTH EXPERIENCE. FROM HER STAFF TO HER BEDSIDE MANOR SHE SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. I KNOW WITH DR KATZ I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!! HIS OFFICE IS ALSO A 2HOUR DRIVE ONE WAY. THAT DID NOT BOTHER ME A BIT. I KNEW I WAS IN GOOD HANDS. HE AND HIS STAFF VISITED ME IN THE HOSPITAL EVERYDAY.

Dr. Gary Katz is possibly the most kind, understanding, helpful doctor that I have ever been to. He has been there through phone calls, office visits, etc.

Dr. Katz was wonderful. He was very attentive and I couldn't of ask for a better surgeon. He came in to see me everyday and called also during the day to talk to the nurses. When I was discharged from the hopsital, he gave me his cell number to reach him anytime.

His staff is great also.

He is fantastic!! He has taken his time with me and never rushed me. Over time, my impression of Dr. Katz has just gotten better!!If I have ever needed him; day or night I have paged him and he has called me back within 3 minutes!! His office staff is fantastic; kind and caring!!Their after care program is fantastic!! They follow up with you during appointments, and I am sure to get a call at least once every 2 weeks or so. He addressed the risks of surgery, but also calmed me down when I was petrified about the complications that could happen! I would rate him overall.. FANTASTIC!!!!
