Dr. Balder has been an amazing physician that has made this exciting journey a reality. He has a friendly personality that you feel comfortable asking questions and is skilled at Lap Band managment with his experience. I even gave him a little \"thank you\" present at my first fill appointment yesterday.

Dr. Balder and his staff are a true pleasure to deal with. Dr. Balder is a great doctor and takes the time to listen and explain. He has a new assistant that is very helpful with giving you precice instructions on what you should and should not be doing and eating. I am very happy.

My first impression of Dr. Balder is that he was very quiet but confident. I was comfortable with him from the beginning. He doesn't say very much but he does emphasize the importance of doing what you should after the surgery.

Dr.Balder is the best. I am so glad that I chose him as my surgeon. He is very quiet and laid back but is also very informative and honest. From the very beginning he made it known that there are always possible complications but I always felt safe and at ease with his competence. If I had to do this again, I would definitely choose Dr. Balder.

He is very informative, honest, open and great person. Office staff is very helpful espically BJ. Emphasizes aftercare and how important to understand this is a lifetime change.

Dr. Balder is great. I'm one of those people who ask a lot of questions and Dr. Balder was willing to discuss the topic until I was satisfied. Dr. Balder and his partner Dr. Anderson have more experience in lap band than anyone in SC. I have to travel from Charleston to Conway, but the time was really worth it. It was also $6000 less expensive than the local hospital. (MUSC) Dr. Balder has a great office manager, BJ, who is very organized and detail oriented. Since I was self pay and lived more than 60 miles away, they put me up at the local Holiday Inn so I could be close in case I had a problem. It saved me the over night hospital visit. i first met dr balder at the conway center at the Lap Band information class..i was impressed that he spoke himself and not through a rep, he provided a lot of helpful info, and answered questions freely. i am juwt 2 weeks post op for the Lap Band, and everything has gone so well, Dr Balder has been most helpful, BJ, the bariatric coodinator has been SO helpful, answering questions as they came up...always quick to respond and assist. They were all very clear that this process would take dicipline and that i must do as they say to make the LB process as effective as is could be, they made sure I was ready for this life change...no more overeating, no more emotional eating...that is not an option any longer. as i said, i am only 2 weeks and 4 days into post op, all has gone well, i see dr balder for the first time tomorrow, i pray to get a good report. i have done exactly as they said, and will be excited to see the progress. So far, this has been exciting, I would recommend Dr Balder and the Conway Center highly....I look to be a new and much smaller woman in 07! There is nothing I can report that I have not liked to date with my experience with Dr Balder & Staff.
