Dr. MacColl was very professional, and very helpful. He seemed genuinely concerned about my progress which was nice. I had very good experiences with his office staff as well. They're always very available for questions and concerns. I would recommend the oregon bariatric center for anyone considering weight loss surgery.

Dr MacColl has a great bedside manner. The staff is a friendly and caring group of people. No question is a silly one and they would love for you to ask. I would recomend the staff at his office as well as Dr MacColl for the lapband surgery.

Dr. MacColl is awesome! His staff is very helpful as well. Unfortunately, he has recently left Grand Forks. Altru Clinic (Grand Forks) has an entire Bariatric department that has great a aftercare program.

I was impressed with my surgeon and his staff. They are very nice. I was however a little upset with him when he cancelled my surgery for the second time. But it was for the better and for my safety.

Dr. MacColl has all the information that you will need to have the lapband surgery. His office staff are helpful.rnrnAfter my surgery Dr. MacColl kept saying that my problems were caused by overeating, not using the tool that I had. I have since learned that my problems (vomiting, low weight loss, band erosion)are experienced by 2- 3% of all bands performed. It was not me. I did have the band removed due to slippage and the vomiting stopped immediately. rnrnIf you are lucky enough to be in the 97% the band and Dr. MacColl would be a good choice.

Dr MacColl is a very straight forward Doctor.rnTells you what could happen the risk right off the back.rnThe office staff is great very helpful, I guess it is even better that one of my good friends works in the office.rnShelly Wright is very friendly and nice she will be doing all my feels.

I have only met my surgeon once so far. I thought that he was very nice and very thorough. He also has had lap band surgery so he knows first hand what his patients are going through. I am confident that everything will go well for me when I have my surgery.

My band was placed on November 14, 2006. I have had a very positive expirence. My surgeon and his staff have trained at Tuffs in Boston and adopted their program after theirs. It is intense but a great learning education.

He was great from the start. He was completely up front with the risks and the benefits. The way that he passed along information gave me more and more confidence in my decision to have this done. There was no judgement or questioning of my motives as to why , instead, support and acceptance. I believe that his talent of educating prospective patients is a strong as his surgical talents. I highly recommend him. In addition, Dr. Donald DeBeltz also performed my surgery along with Dr. MacColl. It was a team effort and I just want to thank both of them for the fantastic care that I received. They are not only professional, but very compassionate and are first rate surgeons. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to get an awesome start to this new tool of weight loss. I can't say enough thank you's to both of them for what they have done for me. God Bless both of you. Tom
