Dr.Peraglie did my MGB surgery what a wonderful caring person he is!!! I have to laugh at bad reviews on this surgery from other surgeons.trust me they are serious surgeons he and dr.Rutledge .Maybe it threatens other surgery procedures. MGB was practically painless quick recovery I am soo much healthier with no side effects !

Dr. Peraglie and Flo were absolutely fantastic, encouraging, and supportive throughout the entire process, not just before and during, but more importantly, AFTER and encourage regular follow up. Dr. P's beside manner, caring and genuine concern is what earns him a high reputation and loyal patient following.rnrnper the posting guideline that says I should have SOMETHING negative to say, lest my post be \"suspect\", you need to revisit your guidelines...sometimes THERE ARE doctors out there this good!!! Dr. Peraglie IS THAT DOCTOR, at least in my experience and others that belong to our support groups!!!

Dr. Peraglie is an outstanding surgeon, both professionally, and as a caring, understanding person. He has done well over 600 Mini Gastric Bypass surgeries, with only one leak, which was repaired successfully within less than 48 hours, and has had no other serious problems. Dr. Peraglie puts a heavy emphasis on follow-up. We are to check in with him daily for the first week, then at least monthly for the first year. We are to have lab work done at 3, 6, 12, 18, 24 months, and then annually thereafter. There is also an online follow-up form that we complete every 3 months that helps him track our progress, and also to gather statistical data on MGB patients. Prior to surgery, I attended two clinics, in which a thorough description of the surgery, the risks involved, and expectations were discussed, with questions being welcomed and fully addressed. I also met with him individually, in which alol my questions were answered, and during which he did a full physical exam. He also provides a 147 page manual that describes in great detail the entire process, including risks, in great detail. MGB patients are required to demonstrate a mastery of the manual and their knowledge of the MGB before surgery can be scheduled. My primary care physician agreed to provide him with all relevent labwork and other information regarding my condition. I had my MGB with him 7 months ago. I am down from 324 to 221, and have no problems at all, other than 3-4 dumping episodes, which were caused by eating too fast, not chewing thoroughly, or eating the wrong thing. My diabetes is done, sleep apnea gone, and my BMI has gone from 43 to 30. My wife had her MGB 4 months ago, and she is down 45 lbs, and is also doing well, with no problems. We are extremely pleased with Dr. Peraglie, his staff, and the hospital where he practices. We are so glad we chose him as our surgeon, and would do it again in a heartbeat.rn. At 12 months - I am now down 128 lbs, from 324 to 196. Still no problems, no diabetes, BP is normal, and I feel 15 years younger.

As of 12/8/2013, which is 6 years post-op, I am still doing great, and I will be 67 years old soon. My weight is at 194, which is about 130 lbs down from my pre-op weight. I have no more diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, aching joints, or other problems associated with obesity. I do have atrial fibrulation, which is not weight-related, and which I had pre-op as well. After about 16 months, I got down to 181 lbs, and my weight over the past 4 1/2 years has fluctuated from 181 to 205. I have been at 194 four several months. I am convinced that if I had not had the MGB, I would either not be alive today, or would have severe health issues. My wife is also doing very well after nearly 6 years post-MGB. Our daughter, aged 34 had the MGB in June, 2012. She has lost from around 315 to 167 in 18 months, and is doing extremely well. She has had no problems at all, and is very happy with the surgery. Her dress size has gone from 26 to size 12 during that time.

We continue to be very pleased with the MGB surgery and with Dr. Cesare Peraglie as our surgeon. A neighbor of ours had the same surgery with Dr. Peraglie slightly over 6 years ago, and he is also doing great. I know two other people who had the RNY surgery about three years ago, and they are both doing well also. The reason we chose the MGB over the RNY was that it was less invasive, Dr. Peraglie had an extensive track record of success with it, the recovery time was much faster, and the cost was much less than other bariatric surgeries.

This ia a very caring and conscientious doctor. He even gives out his cell phone number and you can call him any time 24/7 with questions or concerns.rn His office staff is super.rnrnI was required to call him once a day to let him know how I was doing until the staples were taken out and I went back home.rnrnThe prep for the patient having MGB surgery is very in depth. There is a manual that is over 100 pages. They want to be sure that patients really understand the risks and benefits of this surgery.rnrnSurgical competence and bedside manner are equally important. If you can't talk to your surgeon, you won't feel comfortable.rn

Dr. Peraglie is an awesome person and surgeon and I still feel this way about him. The people he works with are just really good people. I think that future patients of Dr. Peraglie should know that he takes great care in your needs. He listens to you and explains everything in detail and has a wonderful bedside manner. I would give Dr. P 10 out of 10 stars!
