Dr.Greene is a very caring man. He recognizes obesity as the disease it truely is. He treats obese people as humans! Dr. Green tells it like it is. He has nothing to hide. He is very thourough when explaining things to his patients. He wants you to know the facts. He wants us to go the extra mile and get extensive pre op testing so that there are no suprises the day of surgery. This is what makes Dr. Greene and his surgerys so succsesful. He has had zero mortality rate! This is why I chose Dr.Green. I am extremely confident with him.
The staff at Dr.Greene's are very caring as well. They don't try to rush you in any way. They take time to answere questions and thank you for asking. This shows them you know all the details.When I emailed Julie, She replied back quickly and was eager to help me with anything I needed.I would highly recommend Dr. Greene to anyone who is interested in Roux-En-Y gastric bypass surgery.He is a very experienced surgeon.
As I said before, Dr. Greene tells his patients right upfront at the first support group meetings about how very important it is to take your vitamins, drink plenty of water, exercise, drink the protien shakes. The aftercare is extremely important.
Dr.Greene makes the risks of surgery very known. He also reminds us of the risks and co-morbidities Obesity causes.
Again, I highly recommend Dr.Barry Greene.

To the point!Great to talkto ,excellent surgeon.I first met Dr Greene when he removed a mass on my husbands head.I thought then he was cool.The second time I met him was when i was sent to his office by my ob-gyn because of a hernia.Dr Greene was to the point."Its gonna take you 2 yrs to lose all the weight on Jenny Craiag diet,and lots of money"!..Well I thoght but I have a herina and your talking about my weight.But as I thought about it and saw those before and after pictures I was still a little not sure.Since I lost my mom who was a nurse I didnt know much about this,and had'nt heard much about it either.So I spoke to my uncle,who is a rep for Johnson & Johnson and knows all about his surgery and who also knows Dr.Greens J&J rep! I niow cant wait for this to happien,his staff is WONDERFUL!!!
He cares about his patients,he is not going to give you wrong infomation!Neither will the staff..Mettings are inportant part of all this and they look for you to be there!1-10 I give them a 10! I cant see any faults with anyone in this office..juia is a doll!!I'm not one to put any doctors on a petalstil they are not GOD...Dr Greene has the gift FROM GOD..And I thank God for sending me Dr Greene and DR Greene being honest!!! I thank God for Dr.Greene and his staff. They truely have a passion for what they are doing. I feel very comfortable putting mylifein their hands. I have and would highly recommend them to anyone.
The office staff is very professional and knowledgeable. They all have a great empathy for those who suffer fromthe plithe of Morbid Obesity.

Although I have only met Dr. Greene once, I felt very comfortable with him. I am an employee of Holy Cross Hospital, therefore, his name is mentioned throughout. The pleasant comments that are heard give me a sign of relief.

When I first met his team, they all seemed very willing to help. They were quite an encouragement to me as I felt as though I had finally found someone who understood all of the things that I have been feeling.
Dr. Greene was a very joyful person and gave me the re-assurance I needed. I look forward to working with him and his staff in the future and feel priviledge to do so.

I saw Dr. Greene when I first attended the support group meeting. I was referred to him by my Primary Physician. As a Registered Nurse I was very impressed by the clinical presentation he did. I had researched the various procedures and found Dr. Greene's presentation was clear and easy to understand. As an obese person, I felt a presence of acceptance and support from him and the entire group. I am excited about what the future holds, postop. I've talked with a few of the office staff who have been present at the meetings and have found them to be pleasant, helpful and informative. I'm getting all my information together and pray for a quick approval from the insurance company.


I had my first actual meeting with Dr. Greene at his office. I was immediately taken by his personal interest in my case. He didn't act as though I was just another case. Even with a crowded waiting room and the lateness of the day, he didn't rush through the exam. He was thorough and very reassuring. I am thankful for having him as my surgeon and look forward to a very postive and productive relationship.

My first impression of Dr. Greene was he is very knowledgeable. His office staff were very nice and took the time to go over everything. I needed to know about my upcoming procedure. Plus what I needed to complete before surgery.

Dr. Greene expalined everything in detail what I needed to do before and after surgery. Dr. Greene is very thorough explaining the pre-op, surgery, and post-op.If I had to rate him I would give him a ten (excellent) rating.

I was expecting Dr. Greene to be older. I don't know why. He was intense and no-nonsense, asking if I was ready to drastically change my eating habits. What I truly appreciated was his comment that from my diet history he could tell I had tried very hard to lose weight by conventional means. His assistant Julia is a gem. Extremely empathetic and knowledgeable. I also liked the interaction with other weight loss surgery candidates while Julia gave us her "lecture". Nutritional assistance (using nutritionist)and post-op support groups are stressed. I do wish I did not have to have so many tests before the office will submit my paperwork to the insurance, but I suppose it is in my best interest to have all systems checked.

All the staff at Kane was very enjoyable.LaBrie is a great person. He treats you like he has known you for awhile. He seems to be honest, knowledgable, caring , family orentiated and at the same time very professional. He explores all possible risks and evaluates your individual health and needs for after surgery. He treated both me and my husband respectfully. The town of Kane is laid back, peaceful and friendly. It reminds me of the town of Mayberry off the Andy Griffith Show. To rate my experience at Kane town and hospital, the staff and the doctor would rate high. A scale of 1 to 10, being the h hest=9.5ig10

Dr. Greene is very positive about WLS. He does the procedure laproscopically. I liked that option. I was concerned about the fact that he does a medial bypass. I felt as if I needed a more malabsorbtive result. He was willing to listen to ME! He will work with me to get the best possible result. I felt as if it took too long to get a response from his nurse sometimes. In retrospect, I guess it was just me being impatient. Im glad the process is finally over. I am so far, very pleased with Dr. Greene and would recomend him to others.
*He does require monthly attendance pre and post op at a support group meeting.

I met Dr.Greene at his support group meeting on Oct.2, 2002. I went to my consultation appt on Oct. 18, 2002. My first impression was that he is very knowledgeable and he knew what he is doing. I wish I could have spent a little more time with him but he had several other patients waiting for him. I felt a little rushed but I assume all doctors are busy. Dr. Greene does emphasize very highly on aftercare and has a very structured aftercare program. At the support group and at his consultation, the risks of the surgery was mentioned but he and the post op's made me feel that he is a very concerned doctor and he would do his very best to see that you are safe and healthy.Overall, I rate him a very sincere doctor. I believe Dr. Greene is a great surgeon.
