11/23/2008 I first met him and his staff at a Gastric Bypass seminar, It all sounded great,They were all helpful that night. I went to the office and the staff were just as great and knew what I needed. I did not have to wait long to see the doctor. The doctor was open to hear all my questions and ask me to write any down for my pre op class. So far he gets a 10.....
01/08/2009 I met the doctor and staff at the office. It was all great. I was nervous a bit but left there like wow I am ready. I was told we can do you next week. I started to cry some and said that i need more time and Feb 9 it will be. I was approved by Amerihealth in 5 days...
01/22/09 Last Thursday I had my Pre Op. It was great the staff did a great job going through things from nutrtion, pre admission, post surgery and questions were all answer. Then Dr Abkin came in and was there for our last min questions before our Big Day!
I am 10 1/2 months post op and down 90 lbs! Dr. Abkin and his staff are wonderful. Nothing but good things to say about them!
I really was very comfortable with Dr.Abkin.The only thing is at first I was seeing who ever was on his staff but I only wanted to see Dr.Abkin,so it was worked out.His office staff has always been okay,no problems.I like Dr. Abkin's warmth and seem to be caring ways.I definitely would recommend Dr.Abkin.His aftercare is okay,maybe a little more structure.I really think he is No.1 in my book.He is highly appreciated.
Had the surgery done with Dr. Abkin. Very pleased. I had a slight fever after I went home from the hospital and was able to get him on the phone, immediately. rnExcellent customer care!!!! : )
the best doctor i have ever associated with. He has genuen concern for my health and for me as a person. My life has changed thanks to Dr. Abkin and Dr. Bertha. I fell great and i would recommend them over anyone else in the country.rnThe office staff are wonderful. They will help you with everything. The aftercare program is second to none. The nutritionist is at your disposal all the time and the support groups are caring and helpful.rn No one compairs to this surgical group.rnThank you Dr. Abkin and Bertha and staff. Your the greatest.
From the start I knew Dr. Abkin was a straight forward doctor. I liked that. He is genuinely caring about his patients. I recommended him to one of my girlfriends . She is having her surgery on the 21st of October. Dr. Bertha is also fantastic. He was on call my first weekend post surgery. We had to call him a few times and he was wonderful. I love the fact that they don't do the surgery and send you off into the world alone. They stay with you, giving you excellent care and advice. I know with Dr. Abkin, he has my best interest at heart. I have heard stories about other doctors just letting there patients do and eat whatever they want. Not Dr. Abkin. And I trust him and his opinion. I think that is very important. I would recommend him to anyone who is having surgery. Wonderful....just wonderful!
Dr. Abkin and his staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!! His staff is very knowledgeable and extremely patient. I never once felt like I was bothering anyone with questions, they always took the extra time to answer everything. I also really liked the fact they emphasized continued support. They didn't just do the surgery and forget about me. I would give them a BIG \"10\" for being a whole package deal. I never once doubted them. Will always recommend them!
Dr. Abkin was very excellent. He is very thorough, but also very quick. You won't sit in the office waiting for hours on end. Everyone at the center is also very nice and helpful. I would overall rate him as high as possible. I am very happy with my surgery and how the weight loss is going so far. I honestly do not have anything bad to say about him. My parents were upset that he didn't come out after surgery to discuss it, but I have not had any problems with him at all.
