This book has become my WLS bible. I asked my husband and my family to read it as well. I read it first a few months before surgery and am reading it again several days postop. It is an indispensible guide to what might happen. As the authors stress, everyone is different and their experiences won't necessarily be yours but what a GREAT guide to what might happen, what to avoid, what to enjoy and so. These are things the doctors don't mention, the support groups forget and we just don't know until we know. And then it might be frightening. Get the information first!
If you're having or considering having WLS, BUY THIS BOOK.
That's my 2 cents.
