    About Lisa Medvetz     Dr. Medvetz has worked in the Philadelphia area during her entire career. She is a general and bariatric surgeon with over ten years of experience. Dr. Medvetz was motivated to become a surgeon so that she could help and support people during their time of need. She feels honored to be a trusted part of their lives and she feels the best reward is when her patients thank her for the care she provides.   Dr Medvetz’s medical school training was at JeffersonMedicalCollege and her surgical residency was at TempleUniversityHospital. Dr. Medvetz also completed fellowships in trauma/surgical critical care at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center and minimally-invasive surgery at BethIsraelMedicalCenter. Dr. Medvetz performs laparoscopic/open Roux-en-y gastric bypass, laparoscopic adjustable gastric band, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, and revision surgery.   Dr. Medvetz is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the AmericanCollege of Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Outside of the office, Dr. Medvetz is inseparable from her two children.
