Dr. Alexander Nagle, Bariatric Surgeon

Alexander Nagle, MD, FACS is the Director of Bariatric Surgery at the Northwestern Medicine Weight Loss Surgery Program and an Associate Professor of Gastrointestinal and Endocrine Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Specializing in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Nagle is board-certified by the American College of Surgeons and has been practicing medicine for over 21 years. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his residency at Cleveland Clinic Health System and a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University.

Dr. Nagle is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Association for Academic Surgery, the Association for Surgical Education, the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Having been involved in many research projects, Dr. Nagle has authored over 32 articles, books and chapters, and presented at numerous conferences. He is the recipient of numerous awards including many Excellence in Teaching Awards.
